Drawings to Specification. [Class 7 (ii).] In a Diesel engine, charged with air by an exhaust driven turbine, the exhaust manifold contains separate passages extending from the individual cylinders to a common passage leading to the turbine. The separate passages may be formed by partitions or separate pipes in a surrounding pipe.
