Abstract
318,759. Stein, H. Sept. 25, 1928. Self-filling reservoir pens.-In a fountain pen provided with an elastic sac adapted to be twisted in either direction for self-filling purposes a stop is provided for limiting the number of turns imparted to the operating-member. The sac 2 is' attached to the nib-section 9 and to a plug 3 actuated by a head 5<1> rotatable in either direction on the rear end of the barrel. The plug 3 is provided with a non-circular pin 4<1> entering an aperture in the head 5<1>. When the sac is twisted, it is also shortened in length, the pin 4<1> sliding in the aperture in the head until a second pin 7 on the plug 3 engages with a stop 8 in the barrel in order to limit the movement of the plug in either direction. The nib-section 9 may screw into the barrel, so that, on unscrewing, the sac can be removed and renewed when necessary, the head 5<1> rotating with the nibsection and sac until the pin 4<1> is disengaged from the head.
