Electric killing-appliances, - An electric flytrap comprises a glass bell 1 having at its upper end a plug 2 supporting by means of a screwed ring 3 and curved radial arms 4 a flat grid cf parallel wires 6, 7. The wires are connected alternately to concentric rings 5, 5<1> themselves connected to leads 8, 9, passing through the plug 2 and controlled by a switch 13. A small electric lamp 12 is supported on rigid conducting supports 10, 11 on the grid 6, 7. The bell 1 is supported on a plate 16 having a receptacle 20 for bait such as castor sugar, and having clips 17 connecting the plate with feet 14 on the bell. Flies entering through the spaces 19 between the feet 14 are electrocuted on striking the grid 6, 7 and fall on the plate 16. The appliance may be placed on a rigid support or suspended and may also serve as a night lamp.
