289,952. Marris's, Ltd., and Kirby, H. Feb. 4, 1927. Hook fastenings.-A lid 6 for earthenware luncheon cases &c. is made from earthenware or metal and is of suitable dimensions to cover a range of cases. A resilient metallic strap 7 is riveted to the lid 6 and carries hinged members 8 the cranked ends 8<a> of which are turned into engagement with the underside of the case to secure the lid. The strap 7 is of greater width than the lid and the outer ends thereof tend to spring away from the lid when the parts 8<a> are engaging the box.
