Pests, arm. - In an arm-rest device for use in vehicles, and of the kind d comprising a spring-pressed pad f which automatically fills in the recess in the seatback upholstery when the pivoted arm-rest R is in its position of use, the spring device for actuating the pad f comprises a, coiled spring h enclosed within a fixed cylindrical casing a, and acting upon a double-armed adjustable support c, d, carrying the pad. When the arm-rest is turned up to its out-of-use position, within the upholstery recess, the pad f is pushed backwards against the action of the spring h.
