Abstract
230,428. Andersson, A. March 5, 1924, [Convention date]. Bottles, washing.-In machines wherein the bottles are supported in an inverted position on a horizontal intermittently-revolving table for treatment by jets of washing and rinsing fluids, the jetting conduits are detachably fastened to the outside of the casing of the machine so as to be readily removable. The table 2 carries holders 4 for the bottles 3 and rotates about a fixed vertical shaft 1 so that the bottles pass over lower conduits 6 having nozzles 7. Each conduit passes through a hole in the casing 5 and has a flange, 8 secured to the outside of the casing by thumb-screws 9, so that by disconnecting the pipe-joint 11 connecting the conduit 6 with the main supply pipe and removing the thumbscrews 9 the conduit may be removed without interfering with the working of the rest of the machine. The upper conduit boxes, though not so shown, may be made readily removable like the lower ones.
