Current motors; driving and transmission mechanism, special applications of.-A series of water-wheels d, preferably with feathering blades, is arranged on the sides of a float a. The wheels are secured to transverse shafts b, which transmit the power through suitable gearing to a shaft g, upon which is arranged a slipping clutch h. From the clutch h a dynamo or other power-receiving machine i is driven. The apparatus is provided with side boards k, to which are hinged directing-boards j. The boards can be adjusted by tackle l. A guard or fender m extends between each pair of boards j.
