Abstract

199,517. Gaunt, C. F. April 4, 1922. Razors.-Relates to holders for use in stropping safety razor blades, of the type comprising a single strip of spring metal doubled on itself, the blade being positioned between the two ends by means of studs 9 on one arm co-operating with holes 10 in the other arm, and consists in the provision of clamping means in the form of a slidable sleeve the movement of which is limited by a stop or stops formed integrally with and projecting from the spring arm or arms. A rectangular sleeve 11, Fig. 1, or a cruciform sleeve 11, Fig. 5, having lugs 11<a> to facilitate manipulation, embraces the arms 8 of the holder, normally occupying a position allowing the extremities 8<a>, 8<b> to spring apart. When a blade has been fitted it is clamped in position by moving the sleeve 11 up to a limiting stop or stops 12 formed integrally with the arm or arms.
