Abstract

187,796. Shanks & Co., Ltd., and McInnes, T. M. Sept. 12, 1921. Mixing-valves for hot and cold water, of the type having a double concentric seating 2, 3 and a plunger 5 on the valve member, so that on raising the member cold water is first admitted, and at no point can hot water alone be admitted. Non-return valves 8, 9 are fitted on the cold water supply pipe 7 and the hot water supply pipe 10. and their lift may be restricted by screws in a plug in the casing in order to vary the proportion of hot to cold water, provision being made that the cold water valve 8 cannot be entirely closed.
