Abstract
1535719 Heat exchangers; condensers PRESTCOLD Ltd 9 Dec 1975 [10 Dec 1974] 53256/74 Headings F4S and F4H A heat exchanger, e.g. a condenser in a refrigerant circuit comprises an assembly of apertured plates which are abutted together to form a series of fluid-tight finned ducts through which tube liners T may be positioned, and which are positioned within an enclosure shell 15 having end plates 13, 14, the enclosure 16 and the ducts being formed with fluid inlet and outlet means. The plates are stamped out to provide each aperture with an integral upstanding flange of uniform height to provide spacing means between the juxtaposed plates and the tube liners T are expanded hydraulically or mechanically when positioned in the ducts to provide engagement between the tubes and apertures.
