Abstract

1529320 Selective printing COMPTEURS SCHLUMBERGER 24 Dec 1975 [3 Jan 1975] 52914/75 Heading B6F [Also in Division G1] A print wheel assembly for a chart recorder comprises two wheels 1,2 on parallel axes and having print characters 3, 4 respectively on their peripheries, an intermediate member 7 permitting relative displacement of the wheels 1, 2 in a direction perpendicular to their axes, and biasing means 12 defining a rest position in which the print characters 3 project beyond the print characters 4. The intermediate member 7 is in the form of an Oldham coupling, having perpendicular diametral slots 8, 9 coacting with diametral projections 10, 11 on the wheels 1, 2 to permit displacement of wheel 2 with respect to wheel 1 in any direction in the plane perpendicular to axis z, z<SP>1</SP> when printing from both wheels is required.
