Abstract

1522861 Breathing apparatus RICCARDO SPASCIANI SpA 8 Jan 1976 [9 Jan 1975] 00585/76 Heading AST Breathing apparatus comprises a mask 10 with an inlet valve 11 to which pressurized air is supplied through a duct 13 and a valve 15 which shuts when a pressure at a predetermined level determined by a spring loaded adjustable bellows 19 has been reached this pressure being transmitted via a pipe 28 to an exhalation valve 12 formed of a bellows 27 acting upon a one way diaphragm 26. Demand for air causes the valve 15 to open and allow air to flow into the mask, exhalation opening diaphragm 26 against the bellows 27. A diaphragm 25 prevents the overpressure caused by exhalation from acting upon the inlet valve.
