Abstract

148,633. Neil, C. L., and Saul, A. E. D. April 29, 1919. Hair-cutting appliances of safety - razor type. - A haircutter, adapted to be clipped on to and work in conjunction with a comb A, comprises a frame D, to which are pivoted a pair of blade-carriers G<2>, G<3>, the blades I being held in clips H suspended from pins or studs on the carriers. The upper ends of the carriers project at G<4>, G<5>, and, when pressed together, cause the blades to move away from the comb; the blades are maintained in the cutting position by a turn-button K<2>, which bears against the inner edges of the projecting upper ends. The device is secured to the comb by a clip B provided with screws passing through revoluble nuts E on the frame, springs encircling the screws being interposed between the clip and the frame in one construction.
