1485267 Lever lock EVERED SECURITY PRODUCTS Ltd 3 April 1975 [4 April 1974] 14951/74 Heading E2A A lever lock 10 comprises a case 11, a bolt 16 slidably mounted in the case for movement into and out of an operative position in which part of the bolt projects outwardly of the case, a bolt-actuating link 25 is pivotally mounted on stump 26 in the case 11, directly engages the bolt 16, is engageable by a cam 29, and is controlled by a camoperated security lever 31 having a surface 35 engageable by the cam, the cam 29 being drivable, by a key (not shown), through a cylinder lock 28 mounted in or on the case. The bolt 16 has a guide slot 19 formed therein to receive a fixed guide plate 21 carried by and extending between side walls 13 of the case 11. The bolt-actuating link 25 has a recess 30 to receive the cam 29 therein, a part-cylindrical projection 24 which is received by a recess 23 formed in the bolt 16, a talent 34 received in a gate formation 33 of the security lever 31, and is urged by a spring 42. The security lever 31 is carried by a pivot 32, is urged by springs 36, 37, and has an end surface 46 which is engageable with a stump 45 to prevent the lever lock from being forced open. Apertures 47 are provided for micro-switches used for a burglar alarm, for example. In use the turning of the key in the cylinder lock 28 causes the cam 29 to release the talent 34 in the gate formation 33 and to rotate the link 25 so as to move the bolt 16 via the projection 24 and the recess 23. The spring 42 acts on a nose 41 of the link 25 to provide an over dead-centre action and ensure positive operation of the mechanism.
