Abstract

1447976 Window hinges PERCY LANE GROUP Ltd 5 Dec 1973 [5 Dec 1972] 56041/72 Heading E2F An inner frame 10 for mounting a window 11 is pivoted to an outer frame by means of members 12 extending from the inner frame which have end portions 18 bent to allow their insertion in apertures 22 in the outer frame, and resilient means (in the example shown a rubber or plastics bush 24 around each aperture) which allows pivotal movement of the members 12 in the apertures. The resilient means may alternatively comprise a resilient sleeve around shank portion 14 or may comprise both sleeve and bush. A stay device (not shown) connected between the frames remote from the hinge prevents opening of the window to the point at which members 12 can disengage from the apertures and may be in the form of a link which can assume an over-centre position to lock the window closed.
