Abstract

1308371 Container closure I J MARKOWITZ 19 June 1970 [18 Aug 1969 13 March 1970] 29858/70 Heading B8T [Also in Division F1] A closure for an aerosol dispenser comprises two parts, which may be of plastics, an inner cap 110 having a cylindrical side wall 114 and an annular flange 117 which snaps over the upper head 148 of the dispenser, and an outer cap 111 having a cylindrical side wall 132 which engages fastening means, e.g. screw threads 115, on the inner cap which also has a channel 120 at an end peripheral edge thereof to accommodate an end peripheral edge of the outer cap to render the two part closure construction less discernable. The outer cap may have a wall 135 which abuts the flange 117 to push it over the head 148 when the closure is first applied, and the inner cap may have an additional upstanding cylindrical wall 128 which locates a valve actuating button 137 having a nozzle 140 extending through an aperture 130. The caps may have strengthening ribs.
