Abstract

1301767 Spot-facing tools H WENDEL [trading as HEINZ WENDEL PRAZISIONSMECHANIK WERKZEUGBAU] 29 June 1971 [1 July 1970] 30333/71 Heading B3C A spot-facing tool comprises an interchangeable cutter 6, located in a recess 8 adjacent a pilot 5, a clamping screw 10 and an adjusting screw 9, are provided for the cutter. The cutter may be in the form of a three-edged prism with six cutting edges, and it may be of semi-circular rod-like shape (13), Fig. 5 (not shown). Screw 9 engages the tapered edge of the cutter. In a modification, the adjusting screw (14), Fig. 8 (not shown), is disposed coaxially with cutter (13). Pilot 5 may be replaced by a core (18), Fig. 5 (not shown), to which various dimensioned replaceable bushes (19) can be secured.
