Abstract

1379697 Reciprocating pumps SIG SCHWEIZERISCHE INDUSTRIE-GES 29 March 1973 [27 April 1972] 15058/73 Addition to 1335007 Heading F1A A pump for dispensing liquids or pastes, e.g. foodstuffs into cups 72, comprises one or more bellows 56 having an inlet 58 controlled by a valve 59, and an outlet nozzle 66 controlled by a valve member 62 engaging a seat 65 and connected by a stem 61 to a pneumatic piston 67. Bellows 56 is connected at one end to a stationary plate 51 supported by frame 53, and at the other end to a plate 52 which is reciprocated with valve-actuating cylinder assembly 73 by a pneumatic actuator 75. An adjustable stop 82 limits the bellows stroke. A bellows 83 may be provided around valve stem 61 to prevent entry of contamination via bush 60. Valve member 62 acts to crush any solid particles on seat 65 when closing. Rotary inlet valves 59 of a plurality of pumps may be actuated by a common device.
