Abstract

1,262,625. Aquarium filter. N. SAMA. 15 April, 1970, No. 17911/70. Heading B1D. An aquarium filter comprises an open pore polyurethane chimney 14 slidingly fitted into a weighted end cap 16, and a tube 26 through which air can be pumped to form a gas lift pump inside the chimney. When the gas lift pump is thus working, aquarium water is drawn inwards through the wall of the chimney 14 residue being deposited in and on the chimney wall. Cleaning of the wall is effected by squeezing in running water.
