Abstract

1,133,503. Selective signalling. SKODA, OBOROVY PODNIK. 18 March. 1966 [22 March, 1965], No. 11964/66. Heading G4H. A pulse train n(t) of unknown frequency # of phenomena with Poisson distribution is fed into a differential counter 1 together with a standard pulse train N(t) of known frequency # 0 , the value of the output signal of the counter being equal to the difference in the number of pulses received from the two trains, this output being tested in a circuit 2 and upon its value K(t) reaching a predetermined magnitude, a control signal indicating #># 0 or #<# 0 is issued by the circuit 2. This control signal may be fed into the generator 3 of the pulse train N(t) so as to continually adjust the value of # 0 until eventually its value corresponds to the mean value of the unknown frequency # which is then determined. After each appearance of the control signal, the counter 1 is reset.
