R 5 , the clock pulse trains after a delay equal to the clock pulse interval feed into a resistor network R<SP>1</SP> 1 . . . R<SP>1</SP> 5 , Fig. 2v 2 , w 2 , x 2 , and on coincidence of voltage across resistors R 5 , R<SP>1</SP> 5 as determined by differential amplifier 18, Fig. 2y, y 2 , z, a pulse issues thereby marking the centre of echo pulse E 1 .
