Abstract

1,102,185. Circuit assemblies. LICENTIA PATENT VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. 14 May, 1965 [16 May, 1964], No. 20457/65. Heading HlR. In an assembly of interconnected electrical components, e.g. for inclusion in a digital computer, the components are mounted on the underfaces of a plurality of small rectangular insulating boards 10, each bearing appropriate printed wiring on its upper face and comprising at its narrower sides slots 11 carrying terminal contacts 12, said small boards 10 being mounted coplanar and parallel to a larger insulating board 1 bearing mutually orthogonal sets of parallel conductors 2, 3 on opposite faces, and a plug connector 4, or alternatively soldering contacts, connected to conductors 2 at one end of board 1. The terminal contacts 12 are soldered to conductors 3 via connecting wires 7 which are supported in webs 6 of insulating material; alternatively, plug-and-socket connectors may be used. Conductors 2, 3 are interrupted, and interconnected at cross-over points, in accordance with the desired circuit diagram, manually or automatically.
