Abstract

1,177,247. Making rotors. SIEMENS A.G. 7 March, 1967 [3 March, 1966], No. 10294/67. Heading B3A. [Also in Division H2] In making a rotor for a dynamo-electric machine, wherein the rotor comprises segmental laminµ between which permanent magnets 5, 6, 7, 8 are bedded, the laminµ are initially joined at their periphery, are then assembled on a shaft 13, a squirrel cage 15, e.g. of aluminium, is then pressure cast into slats 14 in the laminµ to secure the latter together and the assembled stack then milled to remove the joints between the laminµ and form laminated polepieces 1, 2, 3, 4 separated by slits 9.
