Abstract
1,033,731. Electric conductors. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Feb. 28, 1963 [Jan. 25, 1962], No. 2838/62. Heading H1A. [Also in Division H2] A high voltage electrical connector comprises at least two electrical conductors carrying terminals at each end and surrounded by a sheath of partially insulating material. The conductors may be embedded in the sheath (Fig. 1, not shown) or the sheath 4 (Fig. 3) may be tubular and spaced from the conductors 1 by partially insulating end spacers 6, 6A in which case one of the spacers may be slidably movable in the sheath to make the connector telescopic, the conductors may be surrounded by insulation 7 and enclosed in an insulating wrap 8, and the sheath may be provided with copper wire braiding 5. The partially insulating material may be neoprene rubber loaded with carbon or acetylene black.
