Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a modification of the table of strapped musical instruments namely, violin, viola, cello, contrabass in order to obtain increased power and easier vibration. In the following description, we will describe the case of the violin that can be transposed to the other instruments. We will consider to use the spatial references: front, back, up, down, right, left, that the violin is in position to be played, seen by the instrumentalist. The vibrations of the strings are transmitted to the table by means of the easel which is placed there on two feet: a right foot on the side of the acute strings, a left foot on the side of the low strings.
(Voir figure 2). On the left side, bass side, the table is reinforced by the soundbar glued under the table with a prestressing. On the right side, side treble, a vertical piece of wood is wedged between table and bottom. It is the soul that is placed a little behind the right foot of the bridge. The soul transmits the vibrations at the bottom, supports the table, but above all, it constitutes a hard point, pivot around which the right side of the table oscillates. By vibrating, the right foot of the bridge pushes the front of the table. At the same time, he raises the rear. (See Figure 1). At the same time, the left foot squeezes the entire left side. (See Figure 2).
It follows that if at the front of the violin, right and left side vibrate in phase, at the back, right and left side vibrate in opposition of phase. The right rear part of the table vibrates in opposition to the rest of the table. This conformation restricts the vibrations of the table and disturbs the setting in resonance.
The invention consists of a separation of the rear right and left rear parts of the table by the creation of a hearing or a central slot, which goes from the back of the table to the vicinity of the bridge. (See Figure 3). The left and right parts of the table can then vibrate freely without interfering with each other. The opposite approach is also possible by separating the two front halves of the table and placing this time the soul in front of the bridge, contrary to the use. This innovation is likely to be applied to all new instruments.
