Abstract

The prosthesis consists of a shank (2) with a recess in its upper end to receive a movable neck (8) which connects with a spherical head (13). The recess in the shank's upper end is elliptical in section, and has a blind hole in its base to receive a tip on the end of the neck. The neck has a truncated conical base of elliptical cross-section to fit into the cavity. Its upper end can be offset in any direction or at any angle.
