Abstract

The shoulder joint assembly, comprising humeral and glenoid components, has the humeral component made with a head (1) and shank (2) connected by a movable peg (3) that can be fixed to the head in at least two different positions to allow the the head to be fitted to the shank in different planes. The peg (3) has a truncated conical shape and a threaded projection (3a) to fix into one of two holes (1a, 1b) in the head before engaging with a matching tapering socket (2c) in the shank. Auxiliary elements in the form of a stud (2e) and holes (1d1, 1d2) provide for angular indexation of the of the head and shank.
