Abstract

The stackable tray is formed from a flat sheet, pref. of corrugated paper, cut to the desired shape and with double-skinned heads. Each head has outer (4,5) and inner (6,7) wall sections, while the tray sidewalls (2,3) are of lower height than the outer wall sections (4,5). The top edges (4,8) of the latter are at different levels, forming a double seat for the tray stacked on top. The bottom (1) of the tray can be supported on the lower edge (8) of the tray below.

Description

STACKABLE TRAY WITH DOUBLE SUPPORT

  The present invention relates to an improved packaging, of the type known as a "tray", designed so that its assembly is entirely feasible

by mechanical means.

  Cardboard boxes of the "tray" type are already known which, in order to allow them to be stacked with a certain security, have inside their different corners triangular prisms formed by winding folds which extend the lateral sides, small, large , out of the box and whose layout is already well known and has been widely disclosed by

  International Quality Standards FEFCO (Fédération Euro-

  Corrugated Cardboard Manufacturers), particularly

in standard n 0945.

  This type of trays offers a resistance

  acceptable to support relative loads-

  ment generated in the operation by which the stacking takes place. However, in practice, the side walls of these trays, in particular those of the long sides, and the bottom are easily deformed under the weight of the packaged products - due to the thrust exerted by the product and the deflection of the deck

formed by the bottom of the box.

  The object of the present invention is to propose a new cardboard tray which effectively solves this

  problem so important and, in addition, removes the nests

  well known and defective parts by tabs between the boxes, which are provided in the trays used until now, where these tabs emerge from the edge

  cilia without achieving the desired nesting; in reality, in these trays, the stacks are only maintained by gravity between the boxes located one on top of the other, without having effective means to avoid

  possible lateral displacements of stacked boxes.

  The subject of the present invention is a new

  tray stackable by double support, which has been perfected

  born in its characteristics of form, structure and

  mounting, and constructed from a single pre-

  formed, in cardboard, preferably but not exclusively,

corrugated.

  The main object of the invention is to

  read a very sophisticated tray which, because of its particular structure and shape, can be

  mounted by exclusively mechanical means.

  Another object of the invention is to provide a tray which is provided, on its short sides, with a second partition which forms a double wall, the two walls being situated at the same height in the sector

  central on each short side and at a different height

  Another object of the invention is to train

  An additional object of the invention is to propose a new tray provided, at the lower part of its corners, with grooves intended to receive, so

  well adjusted, the upper edges of another box if-

  In the figures, the tray includes a bottom 1, long sides 2 and 3, and short sides 4 and 5. As can be seen by the development of the box shown in Figure 1, the bottom and the

  When the interior partitions 6, 7 are folded towards the interior of the box, their central sector forms a double wall with the corresponding small side, and its lateral extensions 11 are located diagonally between the interior faces of the small side and from the big

  This plate has on its large edges external projections 23 which bear on

  the upper edge of the long sides 2, 3 of the tray.

Claims (8)

  1.
