Abstract

L'invention concerne le contrôle non destructif. Un échantillon 1 porteur d'une fissure 10 est irradié suivant l'incidence de Rayleigh par un transducteur ultrasonore 2, émetteur-récepteur. Les ondes de surface ainsi produites dans l'échantillon donnent lieu à un écho sur la fissure 10. Capté par le transducteur 2, cet écho fait l'objet d'une amplification à large bande, suivie d'une analyse spectrale. Les fréquences correspondant à des minima d'intensité spectrale, sont reliées à la longueur de la fissure, qu'elles permettent de calculer. Application notamment à la caractérisation des fissures.
