Abstract
L'invention concerne un moteur à combustion interne. La compression et la détente du mélange combustible s'effectuent dans des cylindres séparés. Le mélange combustible ou l'air est admis dans un premier cylindre 1 et comprimé par un piston 3 dans ce cylindre. En fin de compression, on ouvre un obturateur 15 pour transférer le gaz comprimé dans un deuxième cylindre 2, puis on referme l'obturateur avant d'allumer le mélange combustible qui se détend dans le deuxième cylindre. Les pistons des cylindres fonctionnent en phase l'un avec l'autre. On améliore le rendement en augmentant la détente des gaz brûlés par rapport aux moteurs classiques.The invention relates to an internal combustion engine. The compression and expansion of the fuel mixture takes place in separate cylinders. The combustible mixture or the air is admitted into a first cylinder 1 and compressed by a piston 3 in this cylinder. At the end of the compression, a shutter 15 is opened to transfer the compressed gas into a second cylinder 2, then the shutter is closed again before igniting the combustible mixture which expands in the second cylinder. The pistons of the cylinders work in phase with each other. The efficiency is improved by increasing the expansion of the burnt gases compared to conventional engines.
