Abstract

A plastics tubular fitting suitable for a high-tensile tubular coupling connection, has at each end, >=1 groove for receiving a seal, and opt. >=1 groove for receiving a coupling element. It features an inner tubular portion which is fitted, without use of an adhesive, in an outher tubular portion. The former has at each end a groove for receiving a seal and the latter has opt. at each end a groove for receiving a coupling element. The system is used for conveyance of liqs. generally, opt. of those under pressure, e.g., mains water supplies. It requires no post-machining of the plastics components. Mfr. is relatively simple, and its prodn. requires less moulding cpd.
