Abstract

Local stimulation is applied to a subject or human, using at least a semi coherent beam of infrared (IR) rays chopped according to one of the frequencies in a geometric series with ratio 2 and in which one of the first terms is 73Hz. The frequency series is pref. limited to seven successive terms, and the frequencies kept within 5% of their exact values. The pref. appts. uses an electro-optic transducer, esp. a light emitting diode (LED), to emit the IR, esp. a GaAs LED. The LED is fed with a series of pulses provided by an electronic circuit which includes an oscillator and a frequency divider; and the circuit can supply a low power for initial exploration of the human. Arrangement provides local stimulation treatment of humans, slightly similar to, but not the same as acupuncture.
