Abstract
A voltage regulator with a load signal lamp 9 for an automotive vehicle alternator 1 without auxiliary rectification, includes a voltage detector 3 controlling the power supply to the excitation winding 2 of the alternator 1 through a first transistor 4 and a threshold detector 6 controlling power supply to the signal lamp 9 through a second transistor 8, an ignition key switch 10 being inserted between the "plus" terminal of the alternator 1 and the signal lamp 9. A voltage detector 11 connected across the terminals of transistor 8 has its output connected to one input of a gate 12 (e.g. a transistor), another input of which is connected to the "plus" terminal of alternator 1 and the output of which is connected to the base of transistor 4. Lead 7 connects detector 6 to one phase of the alternator. The current through transistor 8 may be detected, Figures 2 and 3 (not shown).
