SE FORMA UN LECHO FLUIDIZADO CON EL MATERIAL FINAMENTE DIVIDIDO Y CARBONO EN UNA PORCION DE AL MENOS UN 15 POR 100 EN PESO DEL TOTAL. LA TEMPERATURA DE REACCION SE MANTIENE ENTRE 900 Y 1.100 GRADOS. EL GAS DE CLORO TIENE UNA CONCENTRACION DEL 20 AL 60 POR 100 EN VOLUMEN. SE FORMA CLORURO FERROSO CUYA PRESION PARCIAL SE MANTIENE A UN NIVEL LO BASTANTE BAJO COMO PARA IMPEDIR LA LICUEFACION DEL CLORURO FERROSO. LA PROFUNDIDAD DEL LECHO ESTA COMPRENDIDA ENTRE 1 Y 2,5 METROS.
