Definitions
- the invention relates to a one-piece base profile for the lower end of insulation panels on a wall of a building, with a substantially L-shaped base profile part and an outer profile part connected thereto, wherein the base profile part has a wall leg that can be fastened to the wall and has a support leg aligned perpendicularly thereto, which in the intended installation position rests on the lower end face of the insulation panels, wherein the outer profile part has a plaster leg aligned parallel to the wall leg and has a connection leg aligned perpendicularly thereto. Furthermore, the invention relates to a base profile system consisting of base profile parts and outer profile parts that can be combined to form a one-piece base profile for the lower end of insulation panels on a wall of a building, and a method for producing such a base profile.
- a multi-part base profile for fastening cover plates to building walls which has an inner profile with a fastening leg for fixing to the building wall and a connecting leg for fastening an outer profile as well as an outer profile with a connecting leg for fastening to the inner profile and a holding leg for a cover plate.
- the distance of the holding leg from the building wall can be varied.
- the connecting legs have parallel rows of corresponding complementary profiles arranged at the same distance from one another for locking the connecting legs together.
- the complementary profiles consist of a channel, for example with a dovetail profile, and a web that engages in this.
- a closing rail for a building thermal insulation or a building sound insulation which has a first rail part, which is intended for fastening to the building, and a second rail part, which is intended for widening the closing rail in the direction of the thickness of the thermal insulation or the sound insulation and which is connected in a form-fitting engagement with the first rail part.
- the closing rail is characterized in that the second rail part in its engagement edge area serves as a receiving pocket for the engagement edge area of the first rail part, wherein the two rail parts can be brought into the engagement position by pushing the engagement edge region of the first rail part into the receiving pocket of the second rail part and a pivoting movement about an axis running in the longitudinal direction of the end rail.
- One of the rail parts can be manufactured in a standard width and the second rail part can be manufactured in several common widths, so that several different widths of insulation materials can be covered with the assembled end rail.
- the EP 2 221 424 B1 a one-piece base profile for building insulation has become known, which has a first leg that is intended for attachment to the building, a second leg that is intended to rest against a final front side of the insulation and an outer strip area with a third leg that is intended to rest against the outside of the insulation.
- the first leg, the second leg and the outer strip area are made of plastic, with an expansion area made of a plastic that is softer than the plastic of the second leg and the outer strip area being arranged in a transition area between the second leg and the outer strip area in order to enable the third leg, which rests on the outside of the insulation, to be arranged at different distances from the first leg, which rests on the building.
- the disadvantage is that the expansion area can only be expanded to a very small extent, which can only compensate for component tolerances.
- the expansion area cannot be increased at will without losing the required strength and support function of the base profile.
- the base profile part and the outer profile part are separately manufactured parts of the base profile, that the support leg of the base profile part has a plurality of first welding regions spaced apart from one another and running in the longitudinal direction of the profile, that the connecting leg of the outer profile part has a second welding region at its end facing the support leg, which is welded to one of the first welding regions in order to set a predeterminable distance between the wall leg and the plaster leg.
- the desired width of the support leg can be produced - depending on the thickness of the respective insulation board - by cutting along one of the first welding areas.
- the advantage of the invention is particularly that it is not necessary to produce or keep in stock a large number of base profiles for different insulation thicknesses, but rather, for example, the standard base profile part is cut to the desired width only when an order is received or when an order is received and an outer profile part manufactured according to customer requirements is welded on using PVC welding, for example directly "in-line” using co-extrusion.
- a base profile system consisting of base profile parts and outer profile parts, which can be combined to form a one-piece base profile for the lower end of insulation panels on a wall of a building.
- the base profile parts each have a wall leg that can be attached to the wall and has a support leg aligned perpendicularly to it.
- the outer profile parts each have a plaster leg aligned parallel to the wall leg and a connection leg aligned perpendicularly to it.
- the support legs of the base profile parts each have several first welding areas that are spaced apart from one another and run in the longitudinal direction of the profile, and are designed to be separable from the wall leg at a predeterminable distance in these welding areas.
- the connection legs of the outer profile parts each have a second welding area at their free ends, which can be welded to one of the first welding areas to produce the one-piece base profile.
- the external profile parts each have identically constructed connecting legs including a second welding area, but differently designed plaster legs, drip bars and/or plaster removal edges. This makes it possible to respond optimally to different customer requirements.
- the one-piece base profile 10 shown consists essentially of an L-shaped base profile part 11 and an outer profile part 12 welded to it.
- the base profile part 11 has a wall leg 13 which can be attached to the wall 2 of a building (not shown in more detail) and has a support leg 14 which is aligned perpendicularly thereto and which in the Fig.1 shown installation position rests on the lower end face 3 of the insulation board 1.
- the outer profile part 12 has a plaster leg 15 aligned parallel to the wall leg 13 with a connecting leg 16 aligned perpendicularly thereto, lying in the plane of the supporting leg 14, which rests on the outer side 4 of the insulation board 1.
- the base profile part 11 and the outer profile part 12 are separately manufactured parts of the one-piece base profile 10, wherein the support leg 14 of the base profile part 11 has a plurality of first welding regions 21 spaced apart from one another and running in the longitudinal direction of the profile.
- the connecting leg 16 of the outer profile part 12 has a second welding area 22 at its end facing the supporting leg 14 (see Fig.2 ), which can be welded to one of the first welding areas 21 of the support leg 14 depending on the desired width of the finished base profile 10.
- the support leg 14 can be used to adjust the required distance between the wall leg 13 and the plaster leg 15 with its total width (for insulation boards with 100 mm) or can be separated at the points indicated by dashed lines for insulation boards with 60 or 80 mm thickness.
- the first and second welding regions 21, 22 at the mutually facing ends of the support leg 14 and the connecting leg 16 are preferably welded by means of a co-extrudate 20 overlapping the two welding regions 21, 22.
- the first and second welding areas 21, 22, arranged in a row form a receiving groove for the co-extrudate 20, whereby a groove structure can be formed at the base of this receiving groove for better adhesion of the co-extrudate. After welding, this creates a flat, smooth surface on which the front face 3 of the insulation board 1 rests.
- the mutually facing ends of the support leg 14 and the connecting leg 16 have corresponding, oblique cutting surfaces 17, 18, wherein the acute angle ⁇ of the cutting surface 17 of the support leg 14 to its surface is 20° to 40°, preferably 25° (see Fig. 2 ).
- This measure allows the outer profile part 12 to be better supported by the support leg 14 during assembly and in the installed position.
- the plaster leg 15 can be fixed or fastened to the connecting leg 16 so that it can be folded outwards to simplify the installation of the insulation panels 1 and can have a joint 19 in the area of the connecting leg 16.
- the fold-away plaster leg 15 can also have a softly adjusted web 23, for example made of a soft thermoplastic elastomer (TPE web). This variant is described in detail in Fig.3 shown.
- TPE web soft thermoplastic elastomer
- a reinforcing mesh 27 can be attached to the outside of the plaster leg 15.
- the outer profile part 12 has a drip web 24 in extension of the plaster leg 15 beyond the connecting leg 16, wherein at least one plaster removal edge 25, 26 is arranged on the drip web 24.
- the invention provides a particularly advantageous base profile system which can offer a large number of different, one-piece base profiles with simplified production and storage.
- the profile system has essentially identical base profile parts 11 which may need to be cut to the desired width before an outer profile part 12 is attached.
- the outer profile parts 12 of the base profile system each have identically designed connecting legs 16 including a second welding area 22 in order to be able to weld them easily to the support leg 14, but can have differently designed plaster legs 15, drip bars 24 and/or plaster removal edges 25, 26 (see variants according to Fig. 5 to Fig. 7 ).

The disadvantage is that the expansion area can only be expanded to a very small extent, which can only compensate for component tolerances. The expansion area cannot be increased at will without losing the required strength and support function of the base profile.
It is therefore the object of the present invention, based on the prior art presented, to propose a one-piece base profile or a base profile system which can be produced cost-effectively, offers a secure closure of the lower end of insulation panels on a wall of a building and which is suitable for different thicknesses of the insulation panels.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the base profile part and the outer profile part are separately manufactured parts of the base profile, that the support leg of the base profile part has a plurality of first welding regions spaced apart from one another and running in the longitudinal direction of the profile, that the connecting leg of the outer profile part has a second welding region at its end facing the support leg, which is welded to one of the first welding regions in order to set a predeterminable distance between the wall leg and the plaster leg.
The desired width of the support leg can be produced - depending on the thickness of the respective insulation board - by cutting along one of the first welding areas.
The advantage of the invention is particularly that it is not necessary to produce or keep in stock a large number of base profiles for different insulation thicknesses, but rather, for example, the standard base profile part is cut to the desired width only when an order is received or when an order is received and an outer profile part manufactured according to customer requirements is welded on using PVC welding, for example directly "in-line" using co-extrusion.
According to the invention, one can therefore speak of a base profile system consisting of base profile parts and outer profile parts, which can be combined to form a one-piece base profile for the lower end of insulation panels on a wall of a building. The base profile parts each have a wall leg that can be attached to the wall and has a support leg aligned perpendicularly to it. The outer profile parts each have a plaster leg aligned parallel to the wall leg and a connection leg aligned perpendicularly to it. The support legs of the base profile parts each have several first welding areas that are spaced apart from one another and run in the longitudinal direction of the profile, and are designed to be separable from the wall leg at a predeterminable distance in these welding areas. The connection legs of the outer profile parts each have a second welding area at their free ends, which can be welded to one of the first welding areas to produce the one-piece base profile.
A particular advantage is that the external profile parts each have identically constructed connecting legs including a second welding area, but differently designed plaster legs, drip bars and/or plaster removal edges. This makes it possible to respond optimally to different customer requirements.
- Extrusion of the base profile part, comprising a wall leg that can be attached to the wall and a support leg aligned perpendicularly thereto, wherein the support leg has, starting from its free end, a plurality of first welding areas spaced apart from one another and running in the longitudinal direction of the profile,
- if necessary, cutting off the support leg in one of the first welding areas to reduce the width of the support leg,
- Extrusion of the outer profile part, comprising a plaster leg and a connecting leg aligned perpendicularly thereto, wherein the connecting leg has a second welding area at its free end,
- Welding the supporting leg of the base profile part to the connecting leg of the outer profile part by introducing an extrudate into the adjacent welding areas, preferably by means of co-extrusion.
There is no need to cut off the support leg if the one-piece base profile is manufactured in the maximum width and the first welding area can be used for welding directly at the free end of the support leg.
