Die zweite Transportrichtung ist senkrecht zur ersten Transportrichtung. Die längeren Seiten eines jeweiligen ersten Falzprodukts sind dabei parallel zur zweiten Transportrichtung ausgerichtet. Die Falzprodukte werden von der Transporteinrichtung so weiter transportiert und einer Taschenfalzwerke aufweisenden zweiten Falzstation zugeführt, dass sich die Falzprodukte überschuppen. In Abhängigkeit vom Papierformat und der Maschinenkonfiguration sowie durch unterschiedliche Überschuppungen können durch die Anwendung der Erfindung verschiedenartigste Signaturen hergestellt werden:
- So kann ein 32-Seiter durch einen Mittenfalz, nachfolgend drei Zick-Zack-Falze, nachfolgend einen Mittenfalz bei einer Überschuppung von maximal 1/4 oder ein 16-Seiter durch einen Mittenfalz, zwei nachfolgende Zick-Zack-Falze und einen Wickelfalz bei einer Überschuppung von maximal 1/4, ein 12-Seiter durch einen ersten Mittenfalz, nachfolgend zwei Wickelfalze bei einer Überschuppung von maximal 1/3 oder ein 24-Seiter durch einen ersten Mittenfalz, nachfolgend zwei Zick-Zack-Falze, nachfolgend einen Mittenfalz bei einer Überschuppung von maximal 1/3 hergestellt werden. Die Angaben zur Überschuppung beziehen sich dabei jeweils auf die zweite Falzstation.
- Diese Aufzählung ist dabei nicht als abschließend zu verstehen, sondern soll vielmehr die vielfältigen Möglichkeiten bei Anwendung der Erfindung illustrieren.
Eine Überschuppung von 1/4 ist in derFig.1b dargestellt, inFig. 2a beträgt dieÜberschuppung 1/3.

The information on overrun refers to the second folding station. - This list is not to be understood as exhaustive, but rather is intended to illustrate the many possibilities of using the invention. An overlap of 1/4 is in the
1b shows shown inFig. 2a the overlap is 1/3.

Claims (5)
- Method for folding sheet-shaped elements (7) in a folding station (3, 4, 5) including at least one folding unit in a folding machine (1), wherein the sheet-shaped elements (7) are fed to the folding station (4) in a direction of transport (T) leading-edge (30a, 30b) first and at an overlap (c), wherein in the at least one folding unit (4), the sheet-shaped elements (7a, 7b) are folded upward with a first folding length (14), and wherein a folding line perpendicular to the direction of transport (T) is generated and a first folded product is created,
characterized in
that the respective distance between the leading edge (30a) of a first folded sheet-shaped element (7a) and the leading edge (30b) of a following sheet-shaped element (7b) is greater than or equal to zero, and
that the overlap (c) at the maximum corresponds to the first folding length (14). - Folding method according to Claim 1,
characterized in
that the at least one folding unit is a buckle folding unit. - Folding method according to Claim 1,

that the at least one folding unit is a parallel knife folding unit. - Folding method according to any one of the preceding claims,
characterized in
that the first folded product is further processed in a subsequent further folding process. - Folding machine (1) for folding sheet-shaped elements (7) made of paper, cardboard and the like, in particular for carrying out the method according to Claim 1, including at least a first folding station (3) and a second folding station (4), each of which includes folding rollers (15) driven by at least one drive, and including a transport device (10) arranged between the first folding station (3) and the second folding station (4) and including a drive, the drives being connected to a common control unit,
characterized in
that between the first folding station (3) and the second folding station (4), the products are transported in an overlapping way.
