The object of the present invention is to produce such a connector socket simpler and therefore less expensive, while at the same time contact resistances between different components should be avoided as much as possible.
The basic idea of the present invention is to form the longitudinal contact elements and the sleeve in one piece or in one piece. The object is also achieved by a method according to the invention for producing an electrical connector socket with a plurality of longitudinal contact elements for contacting a plug and with a sleeve surrounding the longitudinal contact elements for contacting a plug-side wiring harness of a one-piece conductive workpiece, in particular a sheet metal.
- Punching out a basic shape and punching out the longitudinal contact elements, which extend over a first subregion of the basic shape,
- Folding the basic shape at the transition of the first partial area into a second partial area,
- Rolling up the folded basic shape into a substantially cylindrical bush, wherein the first portion with the longitudinal contact elements forms an inner side of the bush and the second portion forms a sleeve of the bush,
- Producing a first frictional connection either at the contact seam of the first portion of the rolled-up basic shape or at the contact seam of the second portion of the rolled-up basic shape,
- Displacement of the first partial area relative to the second partial area in the direction of rotation,
- Producing a second non-positive connection to the still open contact seam of either the second portion or the first portion.
The displacement of the first partial region relative to the second partial region in the direction of rotation can also take place prior to the production of a first frictional connection either at the contact seam of the first partial region of the rolled-up basic shape or at the contact seam of the second partial region of the rolled-up basic shape. The displacement can be effected by gripping arms or spreading means, which are in frictional engagement with the first and / or second portion and are rotated in opposite directions.
By the one-piece concept of the present invention separation points and resulting contact resistance at contact points are largely avoided. Together with the longitudinal contact elements, which ensure a high current flow with minimal voltage drop, connector sockets according to the invention have a higher current carrying capacity with a minimal increase in temperature.
Furthermore, a maximum contact surface with the right plug and a longer life by a lower contact pressure and consequently less wear is possible. Also, a variety of mating cycles surprisingly leads to a lower Wear in comparison to conventional solutions, which by an embodiment of the invention in which the socket has a plurality of longitudinal contact elements twisted in hyperbolic shape.
The reliability in vibration and shocks is also increased by the bush according to the invention, which is particularly in the automotive sector due to strong vibrations and other environmental influences advantage. Particularly cost can be provided as a stamped bending construction a corresponding socket.
If the longitudinal contact elements are formed by punching out intermediate spaces, this results in a particularly stable positive engagement between the longitudinal contact elements.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the longitudinal contact elements extend substantially parallel to one another over the entire length of the bushing and are provided at each end of the longitudinal contact elements orthogonally extending webs integral with the longitudinal contact elements and connecting the longitudinal contact elements.
In a further embodiment of the invention, it is provided that, in one piece with the sleeve and the longitudinal contact elements, a line set connection is provided for contacting the line set.
This cable harness connection can also have a crimp geometry and, in addition, by means of a material reinforcement in the area of the cable harness connection, a particular stability of the Ensure connector socket. For this purpose, a step material for realizing the different material thicknesses can be provided.
As an alternative to the crimping geometry can also be provided in the connector socket according to the invention that the wiring harness connection consists of several pins / extensions for fixing the socket on a circuit board. The pins are pushed through the board and soldered to the back of the board.
The method step of shifting the first subregion relative to the second subregion in the direction of rotation can also be effected by fixing the pins applied to the first or second subarea in the component to be contacted by still allowing the respective other subarea to be displaced and subsequently to the component to be contacted is determined. This is conceivable, for example, in the manner of a bayonet closure. In this way, a mounting of the socket in the pick-and-place method is possible.
