    Claims (30)

    1. Attachment of a component to a hollow section, in particular hinge parts (9, 11) of doors, windows and the like to the fixed frame and/or flap frame formed by hollow sections (3,6), the respective component being applied against a wall (20) of the hollow section (3,6) from outside and being attached on it by means of at least one attachment screw (12), which passes perpendicularly through holes in the component and the wall (20) and is screwed into an attachment piece (15) arranged inside the hollow section (3,6) on the back face (20') of the wall (20) and having at least one threaded bore (14), the attachment piece being inserted longitudinally through the hollow section (3,6) to the attachment point before insertion of the attachment screws (12) and being resiliently urged against the back face (20') of the wall (20) by forces acting perpendicular to it, characterised in that the attachment piece (15) is also resiliently supported in the interior of the hollow section (3, 6) on both sides parallel to the wall (20) and transversely with respect to the direction of insertion (E).
    2. Attachment according to claim 1, characterised in that guide means are provided on the attachment piece (15), by means of which the attachment piece (15) is guided into the correct position in relation to the position of the holes (13) parallel to the wall (20) and transversely with respect to the direction of insertion (E) as it is inserted and approaches the attachment point.
    3. Attachment according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the attachment piece (15) has associated with it a positioning aiding piece (40,50) which is applied to the wall (20) of the hollow section (3, 6) at the attachment point from outside and has projections (42, 65) which engage through the holes (13) into the interior of the hollow section (3, 6), the projections co-operating with the attachment piece (15), on insertion of the latter, for positioning it along and/or transverse to the direction of insertion (E).
    4. Attachment piece for use in the attachment according to one of claims 1 to 3, with a body which includes an engaging face (16) for engagement against the back face (20') of a wall (20) of a hollow section (3,6) and at least one threaded bore (14) extending perpendicular to this engaging face (16) for an attachment screw (12), as well as a resilient element (25) which is designed, with the attachment piece (15) inserted in the hollow section (3,6), to abut against the side of the hollow section (3,6) opposite the wall (20) and to be urged against the back face (20') of the wall (20) by means of the attachment piece (15), characterised in that there is provided on the attachment piece (15) at least one further resilient element, by means of which the attachment piece (15), when inserted in the hollow section (3,6), is resiliently supported on the hollow section (3,6) on both sides parallel to the back face (20') of the wall (20) and transverse to the direction of insertion (E).
    5. Attachment piece according to claim 4, characterised in that there are provided on that side of the attachment piece (15) which leads on insertion two wings (30) which spread apart in a V-shaped manner in the direction of insertion along a plane parallel to the engaging face (16) and are capable of being squeezed together in opposition to the spread, and which are designed with their leading edge (30') in the state inserted into the hollow section (3,6) for engagement against mutually opposite walls (27, 28) of the hollow section (3,6) which are parallel to the back face (20') of the wall (20) and transverse to the direction of insertion (E).
    6. Attachment piece according to claim 5, characterised in that the wings (30,30) form together a V-shaped member of flat material which is angled back in the plane of spreading in such a way that the face of the flat material stands perpendicular to the plane of spreading, and that the wings (30,30) are attached at the base of the "V" to the end of the attachment piece (15) which carries the bight (25) of the spring.
    7. Attachment piece according to claim 5 or 6, characterised in that the wings (30,30) have in the direction of insertion a length of from 0.5 to 1.0 times the length of the attachment piece (15).
    8. Attachment piece according to one of claims 4 to 7, characterised in that there is provided in the engaging face (16) of the attachment piece (15) a continuous longitudinal groove (22) and the flanks (23) of the groove (22) have undercuts.
    9. Attachment piece according to claim 8, characterised in that the undercuts are formed as transverse grooves (24) of rectangular cross-section formed in the flanks (23) of the grooves and with sides parallel to the engaging face (16).
    10. Attachment piece according to one of claims 5 to 9, characterised in that the wings (30,30) extend towards the end of the attachment piece (15) on the respective flank (23) of the groove (22) present on its side.
    11. Attachment piece according to one of claims 8 to 10, characterised in that the resilient element for urging the attachment piece (15) against the back face (20') of the wall (20) is in the form of a hairpin spring (25) of flat material and inserted with one end in the undercuts and secured therein in the direction of the length of the groove (22).
    12. Attachment piece according to one of claims 5 to 11, characterised in the wings (30,30) have a tongue (35) which extends opposite to the direction of insertion (E) and which is inserted into the undercuts from the end of the attachment piece (15) which leads on insertion, and is secured therein in the direction of the length of the groove (22).
    13. Attachment piece according to one of claims 5 to 12, characterised in that the end (25'), (29) of the hairpin spring (25) and the tongue (35) of the wings (30,30) are inserted in the undercut over one another and are secured therein in the direction of the length of the groove (22).
    14. Attachment piece according to one of claims 1, to 13, characterised in that the wings (30,30) are connected together by a head surface (31) perpendicular to the axis of spreading (39).
    15. Attachment piece according to claim 14, characterised in that the tongue (35) is angled back from the head face (31) opposite to the direction of insertion (E).
    16. Attachment piece according to claim 14, characterised in that the head face (31) is riveted against the face (15') of the attachment piece (15).
    17. Attachment piece according to one of claims 5 to 16, characterised in that the hairpin spring (25) and the wings (30,30) are formed as unitary component.
    18. Attachment piece according to claim 17, characterised in that the component is a bent sheet metal member.
    19. Attachment piece according to claim 17, characterised in that the component is a plastics injection moulding.
    20. Attachment piece according to one of claims 8 to 15 and 17 to 19, characterised in that, for securing the hairpin spring (25) and/or the tongues (29,35) in the region in which they engage in the undercuts, a downward stamping deformation (26) is provided on the edges of the groove (22).
    21. Attachment piece according to one of claims 4 to 20, characterised in that a longitudinal stop (32) is provided axially outside a threaded bore (14) in the groove (22) in the attachment piece (15) and does not project beyond the engaging face (16).
    22. Attachment piece according to claim 21, characterised in that the longitudinal stop (32) is formed by a pin (33) inserted in the attachment piece (15).
    23. Attachment piece according to one of claims 1 to 22, characterised in that there is associated with it a positioning aiding piece which includes a body (41,58) with an engaging face (48) for the front face of a wall (20) of the hollow section (3, 6) and at least one projection (42) standing proud of the engaging face (48), which can be inserted through the hole (13) in the wall (20) and projects on the back face (20') of the wall (20) by an amount less than the depth of the groove (22), so that the attachment piece (15), on insertion into the hollow section (3,6) comes into engagement with the longitudinal stop (32) against the projection (42) when the hole (13) in the wall (20) and the associated threaded bore (14) in the attachment piece (15) come into line.
    24. Attachment piece according to claim 23, characterised in that the projection (42) is formed by a pin (43) inserted into the positioning aiding piece (40) and having a thickness corresponding to the clear width of the longitudinal groove (22).
    25. Attachment piece according to claim 23 or 24, characterised in that the positioning aiding piece (40) has two projections (42,42) following one another at the spacing of two holes (13,13) in the wall (20) of the hollow section (3,6).
    26. Attachment piece according to claim 23, characterised in that it includes a pivoting lever (64) which is mounted to pivot at one end on the positioning aiding piece and on insertion of the attachment piece (15) can be urged away, pivoting against a spring force, as well as in its swung away condition it slides with its free end (65) along the base of the groove (22) and on reaching a threaded bore (14) snaps into the latter.
    27. Attachment piece according to claim 26, characterised in that the pivoting lever (64) is bent back in one plane twice through respective right angles.

Attachment piece according to one of claims 23 to 27, characterised in that it includes a stop (57) which does not fill the hole in the cross-section, projects out of the engaging face (48), engages in a hole (13) in the wall (20) of the hollow section (3,6) and bears against that edge of the hole (13) opposed to the direction of insertion (E), and a hook (52) which projects through the remaining cross-section of the hole (13), engages behind that edge of the hole (13) which lies in the direction of insertion (E) and capable of being brought into and out of action, the hook securing the positioning aiding piece (50) to the wall (20).
    29. Attachment piece according to claim 28, characterised in that the hook (52) is formed on the free end of the one arm (53) of a two-armed lever (54) of which the second arm (55) projects out of the positioning piece (50) towards that side which faces away from the hollow section (3,6).
    30. Attachment piece according to claim 28 or 29, characterised in that it is formed as a box which is open towards two mutually opposite sides, that the two-armed lever (54) and the pivoting lever (64) are arranged in the interior (51) of the box and are smaller than the width of the box, and that the two-armed lever (54) and the pivoting lever (64) are mounted pivotally on resilient torsion pins (56,66) in the neighbourhood of the edge of the box which faces away from the engaging face (48).
