Definitions
- the invention relates to a centrifugal vibratory grinding machine for dry grinding with a machine frame, a cylindrical pot mounted on the machine frame and comprising a stationary housing, a plate rotatable in the base area of the bowl about an essentially vertical axis, an annular seal between the housing and the outer edge of the plate and a drive motor which rotates the plate via a substantially vertical drive shaft.
- Fig. 2 is a sectional view of a pot along the line 2-2 in Fig. 1 with lifting and
- Fig. 3 is a sectional view of the pot along the line 3-3 in Fig. 1, rotated by 90 ° compared to the sectional view of Fig. 2.
- a centrifugal slide grinding machine 1 shown in FIG. 1 comprises two cylindrical pots 2, 3 which are mounted on a machine frame 4.
- the pot 3 is in its normal working position, in which the axis of the pot is directed vertically.
- the pot 2 is laterally tilted out of its normal working position, which corresponds to that of the pot 3, so that its contents can be emptied.
- the pot 3 can also be tilted in accordance with the pot 2.
- the machine frame 4 comprises in its center a recess with a working surface 5, which is lower than the bottom region of the pots 2, 3 and holds a container 6. The contents of the pots 2, 3 can be emptied into this container 6 when tilted.
- Each pot 2, 3 comprises, in a manner yet to be described, in its bottom region a rotatably mounted plate which each is driven by a drive motor housed in the machine frame 4 (not visible in FIG. 1). In this way, independent operation of the pots 2, 3 is possible.
- Switching elements 7 are assigned to the drive motors on the machine frame 4, by means of which the rotating speed of the plates can be up to, for example, 200-300 rpm. is infinitely variable.
- the switching elements can also include a timer which automatically switches off the rotation of the turntable after a preset time.
- the centrifugal force grinding machine 1 described so far basically works in the following manner: grinding is carried out in the pot 2, polishing in the pot 3.
- the objects to be treated for example jewelry objects made of precious metal alloy or industrial parts made of steel or other metal alloy, are introduced into the pot 2 together with an abrasive.
- the rotating plate in the bottom area of the pot 2 ensures a constant rotating circulation of the mass consisting of the abrasive and the objects to be ground, so that the abrasive causes constant abrasion on the objects.
- the pot 2 is emptied into the container 6 by tilting.
- a sieve (not shown) can be arranged on the upper edge of the container 6, which holds back the ground objects and only allows the abrasive to get into the container 6.
- the ground objects are then transferred to the pot 3, where, after the addition of a polishing agent, they pass through for a predetermined time, for example three hours Rotation of the rotating in the bottom area of the pot 3 Tel ⁇ ler be polished.
- the pot 3 is then tilted, whereby its contents are emptied into the container 6.
- a sieve applied to the container 6 retains the polished objects while the polishing agent gets into the container. Simultaneously with the polishing of the objects in the pot 3, a grinding treatment of other objects can be carried out in the container 2.
- the grinding and polishing of the objects in pots 2 and 3 is carried out dry, i.e. no liquid treatment agent, e.g. Water, added. Coconut and / or Brazil nut shell granulate is preferably used as the dry abrasive. It has surprisingly been found that when this abrasive is used, wet treatment of the objects can be omitted.
- no liquid treatment agent e.g. Water
- coconut and / or Brazil nut shell granulate is preferably used as the dry abrasive. It has surprisingly been found that when this abrasive is used, wet treatment of the objects can be omitted.
- the pot 2 - the pot 3 is designed in the same way - comprises an upper, non-rotating housing 11 and a lower, also non-rotating housing 12.
- the upper one Housing 11 on a circumferential, bent flange 13 which extends over the upper edge of the lower housing 12.
- several (for example three or four) bushings 14 are attached at mutual angular intervals. With the interposition of elastic buffers 15, a horizontal web of the flange 13 rests on the bushes 14. With the help of screws 16, the upper and lower housings 11 and 12 are slightly joined together. menpressen the buffer 15 connected together.
- the housings 11, 12 are made of aluminum or aluminum alloy.
- a conical plate 19 also made of aluminum or aluminum alloy, is supported in a pivot bearing 17. Via a coupling 21, the shaft 18 of the plate 19 can be connected to the vertical drive shaft 22 of a drive motor 23 which is only schematically indicated in the drawing and which is accommodated in the machine frame 4 (FIG. 1).
- Fig. 2 shows the arrangement in the coupled state, Fig. 3 in the uncoupled state.
- a second coupling part 26 is fixedly connected to the shaft 22 of the motor 23, which has corresponding recesses for the positive reception of the pins 25 in the coupled state of the coupling 21.
- the arrangement is uncoupled by lifting the pot 2 relative to the machine frame 4 and thus to the drive motor 23 and its drive shaft 22. By lowering the pot 2, the plate 19 is coupled again to the motor 23.
- the pot 2 is pivotally or tiltably connected to a first slide 28 via an axis 27 arranged on its lower housing 12, the pot 2 being able to be fixed in a specific position relative to the slide 28.
- the first slide 28 can be moved up and down on a vertical guide 31 via guide rollers 29. This allows the coupling and uncoupling of the plate described 19 with respect to the engine 23 are performed.
- the first carriage 28 is connected via a rod 32 to a lever 33 pivotally mounted on the vertical guide 31 at the top.
- the slide 28 and thus the pot 2 can be raised and lowered via the lever 33.
- the lever 33 can also serve to fix the pot 2 in a desired tilt position on the first slide 28 via the rod 32.
- the vertical guide 31 is fastened to a second slide 34, which is displaceable on a horizontal rail 36 via guide rollers 35.
- the rail 36 which is also visible in FIG. 1, extends between the vertical guides 31 of the pots 2, 3 essentially over the entire width of the machine frame 4, with which it is firmly connected.
- each pot 2, 3 can be laterally horizontally displaced on the rail 36 after decoupling from the drive shaft 22 of its drive motor 23 in such a position in which the pot 2, 3 can be tilted and its contents emptied into the container 6. Provisions can be made to fix the pots 2, 3 in their laterally displaced position by means of a corresponding, releasable locking device.
- Fig. 1 the (left) pot 2 is uncoupled by lifting, pushed laterally on the rail 36 to the center of the machine and tilted there. Handles 37 enable the pots 2, 3 to be pivoted into their tilted position.
- the pots 2, 3 are used in the dry process.
- a relatively soft ring seal 38 made of felt or non-woven material is provided on the upper housing 11 of the pots 2, 3, which is inserted into a corresponding recess at the lower edge of the housing 11 and with its underside at the upper edge of the telephone lers 19 grinds.
- the ring seal 38 preferably has the shape of a simple felt strip which is inserted into the aforementioned recess at the lower edge of the housing 11, the ends of the strip being flush against one another at a joint 40.
- the upper housing 11 of the pots 2, 3 and the top of the plate 19 are lined with an elastic covering 41 and 42 made of elastic material, preferably made of elastomeric polyurethane.
- the covering 41 can be a simple, correspondingly wide band made of elastomeric polyurethane, which is placed loosely on the inner wall of the housing 11, the ends of which lie flush against one another in a butt joint 43.
- the covering 42 of the plate 19 is designed as a circular disk made of elastomeric polyurethane. This disc is connected in the middle by means of a conical pressure piece 44 and a screw 45 to the plate 19, the Disc adjusts itself to the conical hollow shape of the plate 19.
- two pots 2, 3 are arranged on the machine frame 4.
- only a single pot 2 can also be arranged on a correspondingly narrower machine frame 4. In this case it is of course not possible to grind and polish in two pots at the same time.
