Definitions
- the invention relates to a centrifugal machine for mechanical processing, e.g. Grinding, polishing, cleaning and deburring of workpieces with a workpiece receptacle, which has a substantially fixed cylindrical casing and a rotating base coaxially mounted thereto in the form of a plate or the like, which extends with its peripheral edge to the casing with the formation of a gap therebetween , wherein the inner surface of the jacket is axially sectioned through the container to the inner surface of the bottom or is bent with a slight kink that it adjoins the inner surface of the bottom essentially without kinks.
- a centrifugal machine for mechanical processing e.g. Grinding, polishing, cleaning and deburring of workpieces with a workpiece receptacle, which has a substantially fixed cylindrical casing and a rotating base coaxially mounted thereto in the form of a plate or the like, which extends with its peripheral edge to the casing with the formation of a gap therebetween , wherein the inner surface of the
- a centrifugal machine of this type is already known (DE-B-16 52 151).
- the gap between the inner lining extends from the container jacket and the container bottom at an angle of approximately 45 ° to the inner surfaces of this lining adjoining the gap.
- the invention is based on the object, while avoiding these disadvantages, substantially increasing the relatively short operating time of the container casing which has hitherto existed in the case of the machines of the aforementioned type.
- This object is achieved in a processing machine of this type in that the gap formed between the peripheral edge of the container bottom and the container jacket extends approximately perpendicular to the inner surfaces of the jacket and bottom adjoining the gap, and in that the inner surfaces of the jacket and the floor in the area of the gap have such an inclined position to the axis of rotation of the floor that the gap perpendicular to these inner surfaces extends at an angle between 30 ° and 90 ° to this axis of rotation.
- DE-B-16 52 151 has already disclosed a centrifugal processing machine with a fixed cylindrical container shell and rotating container base, in which the gap formed between the peripheral edge of the base and the edge of the shell is approximately perpendicular to the inner surfaces adjoining the gap Extends mantle and bottom.
- the inner surfaces of the jacket and base in the area of the gap are not oriented obliquely but essentially parallel to the axis of rotation of the base.
- the gap also does not extend at an angle between 30 ° and 90 °, but perpendicular to this axis of rotation.
- the kinkless curvature or the spherical segment-shaped design of the inner surface of the jacket prevents workpieces and treatment bodies to be machined from sticking in certain areas of the inner surface, with the result of increased abrasion in these areas. This also ensures a more uniform processing of all workpieces to be processed simultaneously in the container.
- the adjustability of the width of the gap between the circumferential edge of the container bottom and the container casing over the entire container circumference by lifting and lowering the casing relative to its supporting device also serves to keep the abrasion on the gap walls as low as possible. It is also expedient in view of the manufacturing inaccuracies on the gap walls which are inevitable within certain tolerances.
- the workpiece receiving container is formed by an upper cylindrical shell 1 and a lower, rotating plate-shaped base 2 which is mounted coaxially thereto and which projects with its peripheral edge onto the lower edge of the shell.
- the cylindrical jacket 1 rests at its lower edge on the upper jacket edge of a carrier 3 located underneath, which is non-rotatable on a carrier 4 or the like.
- Base is stored.
- the bottom 2 of the workpiece receptacle sits on a vertical shaft 5, which is rotatably seated in the bearing 6 of the carrying container 3.
- the base 2 is rotated by a drive wheel 7 via the rotary shaft.
- the cylindrical container jacket 1 is provided with an inner lining 8 made of plastic, on the thickened lower edge of which the container base 2, which is also made of plastic, protrudes to form a narrow gap 9 which is at an angle of approximately 60 ° to the axis 10 of the container and the shaft 5 extends in order not to get any sharp edges on the inner lining of the casing and the edge of the bottom on both sides of the gap.
- the resulting, relatively small inclination of the gap 9 with respect to the horizontal is expedient for the setting of the gap width, which is explained below, and which takes place by vertical movement of the jacket 1 of the workpiece holding container relative to its base 2.
- a flange 11 is attached which extends radially beyond the outer surface of the jacket and extends around the entire circumference of the container.
- the jacket 1 of the processing container rests on a counter flange 13 which is welded to the upper jacket edge of the carrier, via a ring 12 made of resilient material located between the two flanges.
- Fixing screws 14 are provided in the flanges for fastening the jacket 8 to the carrying container 3. By tightening the fastening screws 14 more or less, the width of the gap 9 can be adjusted while compressing or widening the ring 12.
- This setting option is also useful in view of the inevitable manufacturing inaccuracies on the two edges of the jacket 8 in certain tolerances. Since the workpiece receptacle is usually filled with a treatment liquid for processing the workpieces to be inserted into it, the ring 12 can also serve for the necessary sealing between the two flanges 11 and 13 located opposite one another.
- the jacket 1 of the workpiece holder is formed and shaped symmetrically with respect to its central plane 16 extending perpendicular to the axis 10.
- Its inner lining 8 thickens equally to its upper edge and to its lower edge, just as the upper edge is designed with a flange 11 and bores for receiving screws 17 like the lower edge.
- a protective ring 18 is fastened on the upper edge of the casing, and the like when inserting and removing workpieces, machining bodies and the like. in or from the workpiece holder to prevent damage to the upper edge of the inner liner 8.
- the container jacket 1 can be overturned due to its symmetrical design and arrangement described above and shown in the drawing. This is useful if the container jacket has been rubbed on one side of its inner surface. If you continue to use the container casing in an overturned position, the usage time of the container casing can double or almost double.
- this jacket is divided into two identical parts 18, 19 in its central plane 16, which extends perpendicular to the jacket axis 10 and which are fastened to one another by means of screws 22 via radially projecting flanges 20, 21 are.
- all that is required is to remove the protective ring 18 with the fastening screws 17 on the upper jacket edge and to loosen or remove the fastening screws 14 at the lower jacket edge.
- the jacket can then be placed with its previous upper jacket edge turned down onto the flange 13 of the carrying container 3 and fastened to the carrying container with the fastening screws 14.
- the inner lining 8 is designed so that it starts from the central plane 16 of the jacket in the axial section shown in Fig. 1 through the jacket with its inner surface initially straight, parallel to the outer surface of the jacket 1 extends in order to form an edge thickening with a bend in a slope, whereby the inner lining thickens towards the jacket edges. It is hereby achieved that the slope of the inner surface of the casing 1 adjoining the gap 9 extends at approximately the same angle to the gap depth as the inner surface of the base 2.
- the inner surface of the inner lining 8 of the workpiece holder has a spherical segment shape, this inner surface adjoining the inner surface of the base 2 in the region of the gap 9 without kinks. With the exception of the central floor area, this results in an inner surface of the jacket and bottom of the workpiece holder which has no kinks which hinder the movement of the workpieces and treatment bodies in the workpiece holder and in some cases increased wear of the inner surfaces could lead.
