Claims (5)
- Carrying or supporting roller for a winding machine for the winding of paper or cardboard webs, with a hollow-cylindrical carrying casing (1) made of a high-strength material, in particular steel, to the outer cylindrical surface of which a coating (3) having the following features is applied:the thickness of the coating (3) is 5 mm to 12 mm, preferably 6 mm to 8 mm,it consists of a low-wear elastomer, in particular of nitrile or polyurethane rubber, andits hardness, measured according to Shore A, is 65 to 80, preferably 70 to 74.
- Carrying or supporting roller according to Claim 1, characterized in that the coefficient of friction µ of the coating with respect to paper is 0.35 to 0.7, preferably 0.45 to 0.6.
- Carrying or supporting roller according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the arithmetic mean peak-to-valley height Ra (determined according to DIN 4768) of the outer surface of the coating (3) is 0.5 µm to 1.5 µm.
- Carrying or supporting roller according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that, between the outer coating (3) and the carrying casing (1) is arranged a carrying layer (4), the thickness of which is 8 mm to 15 mm, preferably 12 mm to 14 mm, and which has a hardness, measured according to Shore A, of more than 95.
- Use of a carrying or supporting roller according to Claims 1 to 4 in winding machines for the winding of paper or cardboard webs.
