- the invention relates to an air circulation heating apparatus comprising a housing with an air inlet and an air outlet between which are placed means for supplying a flow of hot air which comprises means for circulating air. air and air heating means, detection means for measuring radiation emitted by a body subjected to the flow of hot air and means for controlling the heating means according to the measurements of emitted radiation.
- It may for example be a hair dryer, an electric circulating radiator or the like.
- Hair drying consists in evaporating the water retained by the hair using a flow of hot air. This is obtained using a fan which delivers the air flow, which is itself heated by coming into contact with heating means. At the beginning of the evaporation process, the water retained by the hair forms a heat shield which avoids burning the scalp. As the water evaporates, it becomes less and less screen and the flow of hot air can create a burning sensation and even cause a burning of the scalp as well as drying and hair deterioration.
- This method consists in remotely measuring the temperature of the hair using an infrared sensor placed at the outside of the hair dryer body.
