  • Hair drying consists in evaporating the water retained by the hair using a flow of hot air. This is obtained using a fan which delivers the air flow, which is itself heated by coming into contact with heating means. At the beginning of the evaporation process, the water retained by the hair forms a heat shield which avoids burning the scalp. As the water evaporates, it becomes less and less screen and the flow of hot air can create a burning sensation and even cause a burning of the scalp as well as drying and hair deterioration.
