Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Schließhilfe für eine Fahrzeugtür, bei der

  • eine mit einem Schließbolzen zusammenwirkende Drehfalle eine Öffnungs-, Vorrast- und Schließstellung einnehmen kann,
  • die Drehfalle in den beiden letztgenannten Stellungen durch eine Sperrklinke gegen ein Drehen im Öffnungssinne festhaltbar ist,
  • zwei Schalter zur Unterscheidung der drei genannten Stellungen der Drehfalle angebracht sind,
  • die Fahrzeugtür durch ein pneumatisches Stellglied selbsttätig von der Vorrast- in die Schließraststellung schwenkbar ist und
  • eine Druckversorgungseinrichtung mit Pumpe, Druckleitungen, Absperrorgane und Drucksensoren vorgesehen ist.

Dabei ist es zweckmäßig, wenn die Schalter mittels Nocken am Gestänge bzw. an der Drehfalle schaltbar sind. Die Druckversorgungseinrichtung ist vorteilhafterweise für die Erzeugung von überdruck und Unterdruck ausgelegt und das Stellglied und die Türdichtung sind sowohl mit überdruck und Unterdruck beaufschlagbar als auch drucklos schaltbar. Ferner ist es zweckmäßig, wenn das Stellglied und die Drehfalle in Öffnungs-Drehrichtung entkuppelbar sind. Claims (13)

  1. Closing aid for a vehicle door (1), in which
    - a rotary latch (2) interacting with a closing bolt (19) can assume an open, a precatch and a closed-and-catch position,
    - in the two last-mentioned positions, the rotary latch can be detained against rotation in the opening direction by a detent pawl (10),
    - two switches (16, 17) are provided for differentiating the three said positions of the rotary latch (2),
    - the vehicle door (1) is pivotable automatically from the precatch into the closed-and-catch position by means of a pneumatic actuator (7),
    - a pressure-supply device with a pump (25), delivery lines, shut-off members (24) and pressure sensors (26, 27) is provided,
    characterised by
    a) a door seal (21) which is designed as a hollow tubular section and which can be subjected to pneumatic pressure, and
    b) an electrical control unit (15), by means of which the actuator (7) and the door seal (21) can be activated as a function of the position of the rotary latch (2).
  2. Closing aid according to Claim 1, characterised in that the rotary latch (2) can be detained in the closed-and-catch position via a detent pawl (10) and a linkage (13) to be actuated manually, and in that a switch (14) is provided for indicating the linkage position to the electronic control unit (15).
  3. Closing aid according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the switches (14, 16, 17) can be switched by means of cams on the linkage (13) and on the rotary latch (2) respectively.
  4. Closing aid according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the pressure-supply device is designed for generating overpressure and underpressure, and in that the actuator (7) and the door seal (21) can be subjected both to overpressure and underpressure and be switched without pressure.
  5. Closing aid according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the actuator (7) and the rotary latch (2) can be uncoupled in the opening direction of rotation.
  6. Closing aid according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the actuator (7) is designed as a piston/cylinder unit.
  7. Closing aid according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the actuator (7) consists of a diaphragm clamped to the edge in a housing and of a piston rod (6) connected to the diaphragm and guided through the housing wall on one side.
  8. Process for operating a closing aid for a vehicle door, in which
    - a rotary latch (2) interacting with a closing bolt (19) can assume an open, a precatch and a closed-and-catch position,
    - in the two last-mentioned positions, the rotary latch can be detained against rotation in the opening direction by a detent pawl (10),
    - two switches (16, 17) are provided for differentiating the three said positions of the rotary latch (2),
    - the vehicle door (1) is pivotable automatically from the precatch into the closed-and-catch position by means of a pneumatic actuator (7),
    - a pressure-supply device with a pump (25), delivery lines, shut-off members (24) and pressure sensors (26, 27) is provided,
    characterised in that the closing aid
    a) has a door seal (21) which is designed as a hollow tubular section and which can be subjected to pneumatic pressure
    b) an electrical control unit (15), by means of which the actuator (7) and the door seal (21) can be activated as a function of the position of the rotary latch (2), and
    c) in the open position of the rotary latch (2), actuator (7) and door seal (21) are switched without pressure,
    d) in the precatch position, the actuator (7) is subjected to overpressure, and
    e) in the closed-and-catch position, the door seal (21) is subjected to overpressure.
  9. Process according to Claim 8, characterised in that, in the precatch position, the door seal (21) is first subjected to underpressure, before the actuator (7) is subjected to overpressure.
  10. Process according to Claim 8 or 9, characterised in that, in the closed-and-catch position, the actuator (7) is switched without pressure.
  11. Process according to one of Claims 8 to 10, characterised in that the attainment of predeterminable desired pressure values is monitored by the electronic control unit (15) by means of the pressure sensors (26, 27).
  12. Process according to one of Claims 8 to 11, characterised in that, in the closed-and-catch position of the rotary latch (2), the desired pressure for the door seal (21) is set as a function of the vehicle speed.
  13. Process according to one of Claims 8 to 12, characterised in that the pressure loading is terminated after an adjustable time.
