Description

The invention relates to a roller shutter with two lateral guides for the roller shutter slats, the running direction of the guides for the roller shutter slats at an acute angle or oblique to the horizontal, and with a preferably weighted roller shutter slat attached to the bottom roller shutter slat, between and at the lateral guides is guided, at least one roller being rotatably provided in the course of the roller shutter rod in each end region. In particular, roller shutters for skylights that have an acute angle or inclined position to the horizontal are intended. It was known to only slide the roller shutter slat with its corresponding surfaces on the piping. The friction that occurs is relatively high and has resulted in the roller shutter slat with roller shutter slats no longer being able to move from the rolled-up position to the rolled-out position in which they cover the window due to their own weight. Attempts have been made to remedy the above-described disadvantages with a roller shutter design according to the preamble of claim 1 (DE-GM 83 34 079) cited in that ball bearings have been provided on the end face, at the ends of the roller shutter rod. However, this has several disadvantages. Ball bearings tend to get dirty and then become unusable, at least stiff. A roller shutter located outdoors is particularly important when installed in the above. Inclined position exposed to a great risk of contamination. Repairs or cleaning of such roller shutters are difficult and time-consuming. As soon as the roller shutter rod swings somewhat about its longitudinal central axis, this results in its tilting to the lateral guides or lateral guide rails. Since the ball bearings are located outside the piping, this causes such pressure on the ball bearings that they are no longer functional due to the leverage that occurs.

In contrast, the object of the invention is seen in improving a roller shutter according to the preamble of claim 1 cited at the outset, while avoiding the disadvantages explained in terms of its running and guiding properties, so that even with an inclined position of the roller shutter approaching the horizontal, the roller shutter still loses weight in the locked position to the window.

The solution to this problem arises, starting from the preamble of claim 1 cited at the outset, that the roll is located between the piping of the lateral guides and runs in a rolling manner on the piping located below. This means that when the roller shutters are lowered (and also pulled up again), there is practically no friction in the side guides or guide rails between them and the roller shutter slat, so that even with a roller shutter with only a slight inclination to the horizontal, it comes into the lowered position due to its own weight . The intended roles are insensitive to contamination. In contrast to ball bearings, they can e.g. in their preferred embodiment as cylindrical rollers, they have such a small diameter that this corresponds approximately to the dimension that is required between the two piping of a lateral guide for rattling-free sliding along the roller shutter slats. Ball bearings, on the other hand, would have such a thickness that their (assumed) sliding between piping would have to be so large that rattling-free guiding of roller shutter slats of normal thickness would no longer be possible.

A preferred embodiment of the invention consists in that the roller shutter rod is guided in a rolling manner in each of these two lateral guides with two rollers mounted on it. This ensures a particularly smooth and quiet running of the roller shutter rod between the lateral guides and prevents the roller shutter rod from rotating about its longitudinal central axis, which has already been explained in DE-GM 8334079, and the resulting disadvantages of tilting, which are also described.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, the diameter of the roller or rollers is approximately equal to the distance between the piping that the roller shutter slats require for their sliding between the piping. If the rollers are guided correctly, this results in the rattle-free guidance of the roller shutter slats (see above).

Another preferred embodiment of the invention is that the piping of the side guides is made of a hard plastic, e.g. a polyamide. In contrast to the brush-shaped piping according to the aforementioned DE-GM 83 34 079, the aforementioned piping made of hard plastic has a very low frictional resistance, so that the roller shutter rod can run on it very easily and practically without resistance. This is particularly advantageous if the angle of inclination of the roller shutter guides to the horizontal is very small.

A further embodiment of the invention is characterized by a distance between the end edges of the roller shutter rod from the inner edges of the associated lateral guides and by a length of the rollers such that there is mobility of the roller rod in its longitudinal direction, but there is always an abutment of the rollers on the piping is.

  • Fig. 3: einen Schnitt gemäss der Linie 111-111 in Fig. 2,
  • Fig. 4: einen Schnitt gemäss der Linie IV-IV in Fig.1.
Further advantages and features of the invention can be found in the further subclaims, as well as in the following description and the associated drawing of possible embodiments according to the invention, in which:
  • 1: schematically in the front view of a roller shutter according to the invention, to a smaller scale than the other figures,
  • 2: a part of the roller shutter bar with guide and rollers in the front view,
  • 3 shows a section along the line 111-111 in Fig. 2,
  • 4 shows a section along the line IV-IV in Fig.1.

According to the schematic representation in FIG. 1, the roller shutter has two lateral guides 1, which according to FIGS. 3, 4 can be approximately U-shaped in cross section. The roller shutter slats 2 slide along these guides, a roller shutter rod 3, which represents a weight, and a leg 4, which runs approximately perpendicularly to the sliding plane of the roller shutter, being attached to the lowest roller shutter slat 2 ′, which is in the lowered roller shutter position shown in FIG. 1 a lower cross rail 5 rests. This cross rail connects the lateral guides 1 to one another.

The leadership of the roller shutter rod in the guides 1 is shown in FIGS. 2 and 3. It consists of at least one roll 6, but preferably two rolls per side. The guides are therefore (see Fig. 1) provided on both sides of the roller shutter bar. The rollers 6 each run between piping 7, which are embedded in the lateral guide rails 1, preferably close to their inner edges 8. The rollers 6 are essentially without play between the two piping 7 and roll on the piping located below . They are rotatably mounted about axis pins 9, which are mounted in recesses 10 of an end section 11, which is inserted with an extension 12 into a recess 13 of a central section 3 'of the roller shutter rod 3 and is held firmly therein. This mounting is preferably carried out by means of an adhesive or press fit. When the roller shutter is moved up and down, the rollers 6 rotate about their axes 9 and thus roll off the piping 7.

The thickness d of the rollers corresponds approximately to the thickness e which the roller shutter slats 2 assume when sliding between the piping 7 (see FIG. 4). You are thus rattled between the piping 7. The piping 7 is preferably made of a hard plastic, e.g. Polyamide. They are held in dovetail cutouts 14 in the guides 1.

The front edges 15 of the roller shutter rod 3 or its end sections 11 have a distance a from the inner edges 16 of the bottoms of the guide rails 1, which is dimensioned and matched to the length of the rollers 6 such that the roller shutter rod in the direction of the double arrow 17 is one can move back and forth a certain amount, but on the other hand the roll 6 always abut the piping 7. For the sake of completeness, it is pointed out that in the basic drawing the ratio of the aforementioned length of the distance a to the length of the rollers 6 is not drawn to scale in accordance with this vote.
