Description

The invention relates to a mobile soil compacting device with a first roller runner and a second roller runner, both roller runners having differently designed rollers and the roller runners optionally being brought into the working position by a lifting device. The use of rollers of different types is expedient for different tasks and such an arrangement, in which different roller runners can optionally be brought into the working position, therefore offers advantages. Such a soil compacting device is known from CH-PS-436 371. According to this patent, the two roller runners are arranged on an adjustable rocker, which brings the one roller rotor in one position and the other roller rotor in the other position. The fact that two roller runners are arranged one behind the other increases the overall length of the device and this is again disadvantageous if the soil compacting device is to be loaded onto a vehicle, for example a low loader. This known soil compactor requires a completely new design. However, since soil compacting devices with only one roller runner are predominantly used, soil compacting devices with two roller rotors can only be produced in a relatively small series and therefore in a costly manner.

The object of the invention is to make the overall length shortenable in a soil compacting device of the type mentioned at the outset and to make the device usable for various purposes.

To achieve this object, the invention essentially consists in that a torsionally rigid intermediate frame is connected to the second one, which in turn can be connected to the first roller runner or the frame of the soil compacting device under operational conditions, in a detachable, pivotable and non-pivotable manner, to which the second roller runner can be pivoted is mounted and against which the lifting device of the second roller runner is supported. Since the intermediate frame can be detachably connected to the first roller runner, the soil compacting device can be used as a device with only one roller runner and as a device with two roller runners, and it is therefore possible to manufacture the device in a larger series and therefore cheaper. Above all, however, the overall length of the device for transporting the same on flatbed trucks or the like can be significantly reduced. Since the lifting device of the second roller runner is supported against the intermediate frame, the second roller runner is an independent lifting and lowering unit, and by means of the torsion-resistant intermediate frame, the second roller runner and its lifting mechanism can be connected to the tillage implement or to the first roller runner. If the intermediate frame is connected to the first roller runner or the frame of the soil compacting device such that it cannot pivot, the second roller runner can be raised or lowered by the lifting device. When the second roller runner is lifted, the first roller runner comes into effect. When the second roller runner is lowered, it only takes effect, the first roller runner being lifted off the ground. If the intermediate frame is pivotally connected to the first roller runner or to the frame of the soil compacting device, the intermediate frame can be pivoted up with the second roller runner, wherein the roller of the second roller runner can rest on the roller of the first roller runner. In this position, the overall length of the soil compacting device is shortened, so that the same is easier to transport on a vehicle. If the torsion-resistant intermediate frame is released from the first roller runner or from the frame of the device, an ordinary soil compacting device with only one roller bearing is created. Since the second roller runner is an additional device, the soil compacting device with the first roller runner can be supplied at a lower price solely for uses for which the second roller runner is not required.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the torsionally rigid intermediate frame connected to the second roller runner can be pivotally connected to the first roller runner or the frame of the soil compacting device by means of first connecting means, expediently by means of plug pins, and rigidly by means of second connecting means. This offers the possibility of swiveling the second roller runner so high after the second connecting means has been released that it comes to lie over the first roller runner. When working with the device with both roller rotors, the torsionally rigid intermediate frame is connected to the first roller rotor or to the frame of the compacting device both by means of the first connecting means and by means of the second connecting means. According to the invention, the torsionally rigid intermediate frame connected to the second roller rotor expediently extends approximately parallel to the axis of the second roller rotor. The arrangement is hiebei preferably made such that the first roller or the frame of the soil compactor on the second End facing the roller runner has a torsionally rigid cross member, with which the torsionally rigid intermediate frame of the second roller rotor can be detachably, pivotably and non-pivotally connected. Since the cross member arranged on the first roller rotor or on the frame of the soil compacting device is torsionally rigid, a torsionally rigid connection of the torsionally rigid intermediate frame of the second roller rotor is created. Hiebei preferably has, according to the invention, the torsionally rigid intermediate frame connected to the second roller runner, which grips around the cross member of the first roller runner or the frame of the soil compacting device at the top and bottom and can be connected to it by plug-in bolts or the like.

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the second roller runner is designed with arms articulated on the torsion-resistant intermediate frame, which are connected like a frame at their end facing away from the first roller runner by a cross member. In this way, the second roller rotor itself is a torsionally rigid unit which is articulated in a simple manner by means of its arms on the torsionally rigid intermediate frame and is supported against the latter by a lifting device, for example by hydraulic cylinder-piston units.

In a preferred embodiment, the soil compacting device has, in a manner known per se, two vehicle parts connected by an articulated steering, the first roller fin forming one of the vehicle parts. A road roller with articulated steering has become known from DE-OS-1 924440. With such a configuration of a soil compaction device according to the invention, when the rigid connection of the second roller runner to the first roller runner, i.e. when the second connecting means, which are formed by lower plug pins, is released, the second roller runner is pivoted over the first roller runner and rest thereon in a transport position.

According to the invention, the first roller rotor expediently has a vibratory roller and the second roller rotor has a rubber wheel roller. Such a combination has proven to be particularly advantageous for the use of the soil compacting device in road construction. Vibratory rollers are used for compacting bound base layers, in which the material of the soil is mixed with cement, and also for unbound base layers. The vibration effect has a favorable effect on the compaction of the soil even at depths of up to 1 m. Particularly when using bonded base layers, however, the vibration effect causes cracks on the surface, which are disadvantageous. These cracks can now be removed by re-rolling the floor using the rubber wheel roller. Such rubber wheel rollers usually consist of a number of pneumatic tires arranged side by side on a common axis. Since a rubber wheel roller is lighter than the vibrating roller, it is favorable to equip the second roller rotor with such a rubber wheel roller. If the second roller runner is lowered with the intermediate frame connected to the first roller runner or the frame of the soil compacting device so that it cannot pivot, and the first roller runner is lifted off the ground, the weight of the first roller runner also acts on the second roller runner. However, rollers with any other bandages, for example pin rollers, fin rollers, etc., can also be used as the first or second roller rotors.

In the drawing, the invention is explained schematically using an exemplary embodiment.

Fig. 4 show a side view of various positions of the soil compactor.
  • Fig. 5 stellt eine Draufsicht auf die Anordnung nach Fig. 2 dar.FIG. 5 shows a top view of the arrangement according to FIG. 2.

The soil compactor is equipped with an articulated steering in which two vehicle parts 1 and 2 are articulated to one another about a vertical axis 3. The vehicle part 2 consists of a roller runner 4, which has a vibratory roller 5. The second roller runner 6 has a rubber wheel roller 7. The first roller rotor 4 has a frame 8, the end of which faces the second roller rotor 6 is formed by a torsionally rigid cross member 9. The second roller runner 6 is articulated by arms 10 on a torsionally rigid intermediate frame 11. The arms 10 are connected at their end facing away from the first roller runner 4 by a cross member 12 in a frame-like manner. The second roller runner 6 is supported against the torsionally rigid intermediate frame 11 so that it can be raised and lowered by means of a hydraulic piston-cylinder unit 13. The cross member 9 of the frame 8 of the first roller runner 4 has eyelets 14 at the top and eyelets 15 at the bottom. The torsion-resistant intermediate frame 11 has claws 16 at the top and claws 17 at the bottom. In the working position, in which the intermediate frame 11 is non-pivotably connected to the first roller runner 4, these claws 16 and 17 encompass the cross member 9. The claws 16 are connected to the eyelets 14 by means of plug pins and the claws 17 to the eyelets 15 by means of plug pins.

Fig. 1 zeigt den zweiten Walzenläufer 6 in abgestellter Lage. Das Bodenverdichtungsgerät ist mit dem ersten Walzenläufer 4 allein verwendbar.1 shows the second roller runner 6 in the parked position. The soil compactor can be used with the first roller runner 4 alone.

Der erste Walzenläufer 4 ist angehoben und daher außer Wirkung.2 and 3, the claws 16 are connected to the eyelets 14 and the claws 17 to the eyelets 15. The torsion-resistant intermediate frame 11 is therefore rigidly connected to the frame 8 or the cross member 9. In the position according to FIG. 2, the second roller runner 6 is lifted off the floor by the cylinder-piston units 13. In this position, therefore, only the first roller runner 4 is in effect. In the position according to FIG. 3, the second roller rotor 6 is lowered by the cylinder-piston unit 13 and is in effect. The first roller runner 4 is raised and therefore has no effect.

The second roller runner 6 is connected only by the claws 16 articulated to the eyelets 14 and is pivoted up into a position in which it lies above the first roller runner 4, the rubber wheel roller 7 resting on the vibrating roller 5 and running with it. In this position, the overall length is shortened and the soil compactor can be loaded on a flatbed vehicle. However, in this position according to FIG. 4, the rolling can also take place by means of the first roller runner 4, or this position can also be assumed when driving on the road. The position according to FIG. 3 is also suitable for road travel, although the total length of the soil compacting device is increased.
