Abstract
A room light-handleable recording material comprises an
electrically conductive support having thereon in sequence
(a) a polymeric electrically active conductive (EAC) layer, a
recording layer (b) comprising a dye-forming coupler and an
oxidation-reduction combination comprising an organic
silver salt and a reducing agent having an oxidation product
which reacts with the coupler to form image dye. Imagewise
passage of current through the material, possibly achieved by
applying a potential across the material and an exposed
photoconductive layer in contact therewith, produces a heat-
developable latent image. Higher current sensitivity of this
material is obtained by using as the organic silver salt a salt of
a mercapto-1,2,4-triazole derivative and as the polymer for the
EAC layer a vinyl addition polymer of the structure:
