Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for additional functions in the Application of light guides such as laser catheters in various technical and / or biological areas, for example medicine.
Since the spread of laser beams in the atmosphere is restricted, the spread of this easily controllable high-energy light in optical waveguides or optical fibers such as glass fibers. A known device of this type is the laser catheter. There is a problem in comparatively stiffing those primarily made of glass Light guides into the various pathways of the body for therapy to put forward. A hydraulic principle was used for this in DE P 35 12 018 named with the use of a blunt nozzle head on the front of the catheter existing nozzles placed in the rear so that with fluid such as water surrendered at the front of the catheter. This desirable propulsion is but small with a narrow caliber of the catheter used in medicine. Water added to the blood could lead to hydremia.
The invention has for its object the use or the application of light guides / catheters as well as other elongated medical Instruments also for permanent catheters, at least in the medical-biological To improve the area, for example, also for such elongated Industrial instruments contactless steering is possible.
This task is performed in a generic device by the characterizing features of claim 1 solved.
The further embodiment of the invention is the dependent claims Drawing and their description can be found.
The advantages achieved by the invention are in particular that in the jacket of a light guide or a laser catheter a resonator for extracorporeal wave energy is located. This is it is possible from the outside using a generator for wave energy / shock waves contactless and controlled on the light guide located in the body or laser catheter to exert influence in order to be as gentle as possible to place the action in the body in a favorable position. For such purposes the well-known principle of microspheres can be used, but may the gas bubbles are not in a brittle substance such as cement, but have to be in an elastic substance like rubber, for intracorporeal vibrations in the entire jacket of the catheter or of the light guide or in parts of the outer sheath of the catheter with air bubbles. A well-known phenomenon is that vibrations reduce the friction in the area of interfaces between bodies. Such externally influenced catheters / light guides can be vibrated without Inflow of fluid gently in the pathway, which is also pathologically altered of the body and pass stenoses better than catheters / light conductor without the noted resonator for external waves. If a catheter with an elastic sheath passes through the pathway, its transverse diameter narrows there, at the same time with Compression of existing gas bubbles, which creates an additional gives kinetic energy in the area of each stenosis, and upon arrival from extracorporeal waves there are increased impulses / forces pressure or removal of the stenoses available.
Since the blood vessels in the body are branched, there is a control of light guides as well as generally elongated medical instruments, also given if necessary for those of industry in branched lines.
A steering on the catheter was with US patent 44 03 985 and also with DE P 35 32 885.1 describes catheters with nozzles for steering. An apparently New steering principle with partial air bubbles in an elastic jacket of an elongated instrument consists in blowing the air bubbles in the elastic sheath parallel to the longitudinal axis of only part of the circumference to arrange while most of the outer circumference of the elongated Instrumentes of such gas bubbles remains free. Will the Gas bubbles arranged linearly parallel to the longitudinal axis as resonators for extracorporeal energy, thus for secondary intracorporeal vibrations used, the result is linear in the jacket of the instrument in the longitudinal direction Vibrations in there the friction as well as impulses that lead to linear stretching of the instrument while on the opposite side of the instrument cladding there are no impulses for vibrations, because there for Resonance of extracorporeal waves there are no gas bubbles.
A contactless intraluminal bend of such an elongated Instruments like a light guide is therefore elastic in the case of air bubbles Jacket to be expected, and this principle becomes all-round when the Examiner behind the so constructed and contactless from the outside controlled instrument rotates.
Other functions are - as with the abrasion probe P 39 36 162.4 described - possible that in the rubber of the jacket of the catheter Additional devices such as small ones can be introduced for various purposes Metal bodies that resonate. Roughness of the outer layer of the rubber jacket also arise if, for example, microspheres are not caused by a fine (sliding) rubber layer can be covered.
Patients with indwelling catheters - just like when using the heart pacemakers - are through apposition thrombi on the catheter Detachment of clotted blood, thus at risk of thromboembolism. The risk is reduced according to the one already noted above Principle, comparatively relatively small extracorporeal waves with self focus in gas bubbles of the elastic jacket of such elongated to introduce intracorporeal instruments to prevent the emergence of Apposition thrombi due to vibrations of the instrument or the external To effect the contact layer without contact and multiple non-invasive.
