Abstract
Disclosed herein is a kind of method for realizing system message update, access network elements, user equipment and system, including:Access network elements send the update instruction information of system message (SI) to user equipment (UE);UE receives update instruction information, and reads the SI or System information block (SIB) for needing to update from system message according to the update instruction information of reception.In technical solution of the present invention, UE only needs to read the SI or SIB for needing to update from system message according to the update instruction information of reception, reduces user equipment and carries out the electric quantity consumption of system message update, and then extends the operating time of user equipment.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to, but not limited to, wireless communication technologies, and in particular, to a method, an access network element, a user equipment, and a system for implementing system message update.
Background
Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is a fifth generation mobile communication technology (5G, 5)thGeneration), and is an important application field of future wireless communication. In the M2M topic, the third generation partnership project (3GPP) has proposed a research sub-topic of a narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) system aiming at the characteristics of low-cost and low-throughput type terminals, and aims to construct a system similar to Long Term Evolution (LTE) in a frequency band of 200 kilohertz (KHz) to provide low-throughput wireless communication services for low-cost terminals.
The System Information (SI) is a common message of the cell and is used for indicating the system parameters of the cell, and the User Equipment (UE) residing in the cell must keep consistent with the latest system message; the system messages are typically sent on a broadcast channel of the cell. In LTE and NB-IoT systems, system messages are divided into two categories, namely, a Master Information Block (MIB) and a System Information Block (SIB), and the SIB is subdivided into different numbered system message blocks, namely, SIB1, SIB2, and SIB 3. The blocks of system messages other than the SIB1 constitute one or more SIs. The SIB1 carries scheduling information of the composed SIs, where the scheduling information is used to indicate the number of system message blocks included in each SI, the transmission period, and the time window for the UE to receive the SIs.
Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram illustrating an update of a conventional system message, where as shown in fig. 1, the system message is updated according to a mechanism of a modification period (BCCH modification period, referred to herein as a modification period) of a broadcast common control channel, and when the system message needs to be changed, a base station first carries a UE system message update indication in a paging message (paging message) in a first modification period; then, the UE starts to send the updated system message in the second modification period (the second modification period is a subsequent modification period of the first modification period), and receives the updated system message in the second modification period after receiving the paging message carrying the update indication. In addition to the system messages that need to change rapidly, other system messages remain unchanged during the second modification period. According to the latest 3GPP discussion, the MIB message carries a main system message value tag (main value tag of system information), which is updated when part of the SI or SIB changes, and is used to indicate that at least part of the SI or SIB has been or is about to be updated, and is scheduled and transmitted according to an agreed modification period and time-domain/frequency-domain resources. The SIB1 carries the value tag of each system message SI, and is scheduled and transmitted according to an agreed modification period and time-domain and frequency-domain resources. When the system message is changed, the value tag in the MIB is correspondingly updated; meanwhile, the value tag of the SI in SIB1 is also updated accordingly, that is, the value tag corresponding to the SI that has been changed is updated, while the value tag of the SI that has not been changed remains unchanged. Currently, numerical labels are mainly used in the following two scenarios: when the UE is out of the coverage area of the cell and reenters the cell within the appointed time, the UE compares a value tag value of a system message stored by the UE with a value tag value carried in the current system message to judge whether the system message is changed or not, and when the system message is determined to be changed, the UE reads the system message of the cell again; in a second scenario, if the UE does not receive the paging message in a modification period, the UE needs to read a value tag of the system message in the next modification period, so as to determine whether the system message is changed.
In a narrow-band system of the Internet of things, UE has extreme requirements on power saving; the service life of the terminal can be extended by saving power consumption. According to the existing system message updating method, if the paging message received by the UE contains a system message Modification indication (system Info Modification), the UE needs to re-read the SIB1 and all the system messages to update the system message, which will cause a lot of power consumption of the UE and affect the service life of the UE.
Disclosure of Invention
In order to solve the above technical problem, the present invention provides a method, an access network element, a user equipment and a system for implementing system message update, which can reduce power consumption of the user equipment.
In order to achieve the purpose of the invention, the invention provides a method for realizing system message update, which comprises the following steps:
an access network element sends update indication information of a system message SI to user equipment UE;
the update indication information is used for indicating information of SI or system message block SIB that the UE needs to update, and indicating the UE to update the system message according to the update indication information.
Optionally, the update indication information includes:
an update indication of an SI or SIB requiring updating, and/or a primary system message value tag, and/or an update indication of SIB1, and/or a value tag of an SI or SIB requiring updating;
the update includes that the SI or SIB is to be or has been updated.

Optionally, when the update indication information includes an update indication of SIB1, the update indication of SIB1 includes at least one of:
whether the SIB1 needs updating, whether the SIB1 changes, whether the rest of the message content of the SIB1 message except for the value tag changes.
Optionally, the update indication information is sent through a paging message, a radio resource control RRC message, a media control layer MAC control unit, or downlink control information DCI of a physical downlink control channel PDCCH.
Optionally, when the update indication information includes a value tag of an SI or SIB that needs to be updated, the value tag of the SI or SIB that needs to be updated is used to indicate that the corresponding SI or SIB for the UE is to be updated or has been updated.

Compared with the prior art, the technical scheme of the application comprises the following steps: an access network element sends update indication information of a system message (SI) to User Equipment (UE); and the UE receives the updating indication information and reads the SI or system message block (SIB) needing to be updated from the system message according to the received updating indication information. In the technical scheme of the invention, the UE only needs to read the SI or SIB needing to be updated from the system message according to the received update indication information, thereby reducing the power consumption of the user equipment for updating the system message and further prolonging the working time of the user equipment.

In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. It should be noted that the embodiments and features of the embodiments in the present application may be arbitrarily combined with each other without conflict.
The method for realizing the system message updating of the embodiment of the invention comprises the following steps: an access network element sends update indication information of a system message (SI) to User Equipment (UE); the update indication information is used for indicating information of SI or SIB that the UE needs to update, and indicating the UE to update the system message according to the update indication information. As shown in fig. 2, the method specifically includes:

When the update indication information includes the value tag of the SI or SIB needing to be updated, the value tag of the SI or SIB needing to be updated is the same as the value tag of the corresponding SI or SIB carried in the updated SIB1 or MIB.
Optionally, the value tag value of the SI or SIB that needs to be updated is used to indicate that the corresponding SI or SIB for the UE is to be updated or has been updated.
The update indication information is transmitted through a paging message, a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message, a media control layer (MAC) control unit, or Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) Downlink Control Information (DCI).
The method of the embodiment of the present invention further includes step 201,

In the technical scheme of the invention, the UE only needs to read the SI or SIB needing to be updated from the system message according to the received update indication information, thereby reducing the power consumption of the user equipment for updating the system message and further prolonging the working time of the user equipment.
The access network element for realizing system message update in the embodiment of the invention at least comprises: an instruction transmitting unit, configured to transmit update instruction information of the SI to the UE; the update indication information is used for indicating information of an SI or an SIB that needs to be updated, and indicating the UE to update the system message according to the update indication information. In the first modification period (P1), the value of the system message value in the MIB is V-MIB-1, and the values of the SIB1 carrying SI1 and SI2 are V-SI1-1 and V-SI2-1, respectively.
Fig. 9 is a flowchart of a method for updating a system message according to a second application example of the present invention, as shown in fig. 9, including:

When the update indication information of the SIB1 is included, the update indication information of the SIB1 is defined as an indication whether the UE needs to update the SIB1 message or an indication whether the change occurs in the SIB1 except for the value tag carried in the SIB 1; the UE determines from this information whether to receive the SIB1 message in the next modification period. In the present application example, assuming that the SIB1 message has no other change except for the value tag value carried by the SIB1 message, the system message update indication information indicates that the UE does not need to update the SIB1 message.

It should be noted that, in the present application example, the paging message carries the primary system message value tag and/or the value tag of each changed SI, the primary system message value tag is carried in the MIB, and the value tag of each SI is carried in the SIB1 as a precondition. If in practical application, the system message is only one of the two value tags, and the update indication information of the application example only needs to carry a corresponding part of the information, so that the purpose of saving power of the UE can be achieved.
For example, in practical applications, the MIB or SIB does not carry the main system message value tag, and the main system message value tag does not need to be indicated in the system message update indication information.
As an optimization example of the above actual application example, SIB1 carries the value tag of each SI, and system information update indication information indicates that SIB1 needs to be updated, so the system information update indication information does not include the value tag of the SI or SIB that needs to be updated and update indication information of each SI or SIB. In this case, the UE can obtain the value tag of each SI by reading the updated SIB1, and further can know the information of the SI that needs to be updated specifically by comparing the value tag of each SI in the received SIB1 with the value tag value of each SI stored locally, thereby achieving the same power saving purpose.
In this optimized use case, if the scheduling information of each SI carried in the SIB1 changes, but the actual SI information content does not change, the value tag of the corresponding SI does not need to be updated.
Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the above description is only for the convenience of understanding the present invention, and is not intended to limit the present invention. It will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
Claims (20)
1. A method for implementing system message update, comprising:
an access network element sends update indication information of a system message SI to user equipment UE;
the update indication information is used for indicating information of SI or system message block SIB that the UE needs to update, and indicating the UE to update the system message according to the update indication information.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the updating indication information comprises:
an update indication of an SI or SIB requiring updating, and/or a primary system message value tag, and/or an update indication of SIB1, and/or a value tag of an SI or SIB requiring updating;
the update includes that the SI or SIB is to be or has been updated.
3. The method of claim 2, wherein the update indication of each SI or SIB requiring update is represented by a single bit in a separate information element or a bitmap, respectively.
4. The method of claim 2, wherein when the update indication information comprises a primary system message value tag, the primary system message value tag is used to indicate that a partial SI or SIB is to be updated or is updated.
5. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein when the update indication information includes a value tag of a primary system message,
the main system message value tag in the update indication information is the same as the corresponding main system message value tag in the updated SIB1 and/or the updated master information block MIB.
6. The method according to any of claims 1 to 3, wherein when the update indication information comprises an update indication of SIB1, the update indication of SIB1 comprises at least one of:
whether the SIB1 needs updating, whether the SIB1 changes, whether the rest of the message content of the SIB1 message except for the value tag changes.
7. The method according to any of claims 1 to 3, wherein the update indication information is sent via a paging message, a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message, a media control layer (MAC) control unit, or Downlink Control Information (DCI) of a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH).
8. The method of claim 2, wherein when the update indication information comprises a value tag of an SI or SIB requiring updating, the value tag of the SI or SIB requiring updating is used to indicate that the corresponding SI or SIB for the UE is to be updated or has been updated.
9. The method according to claim 1, 2, 3, 4 or 8, wherein when the update indication information includes a value tag of an SI or SIB requiring updating, the value tag of the SI or SIB requiring updating is the same as a value tag of a corresponding SI or SIB carried in the updated SIB 1.
10. A method for implementing system message update, comprising:
the UE receives updating indication information from an access network element;
the UE reads the SI or SIB needing to be updated from the system message according to the received update indication information;
the system message is from an access network element.
11. The method of claim 10, wherein when the update indication information includes a main system message value tag, the method further comprises:
and overlaying the value tag of the main system message included in the updating indication information with the locally stored main system message value tag.
12. The method according to claim 10 or 11, wherein when the update indication information includes a value tag of an SI or SIB that needs to be updated, the method further comprises:
and overwriting the value tag of the SI or SIB needing to be updated, which is included in the updating indication information, with the locally stored value tag of the corresponding SI or SIB.
13. A method for implementing system message update, comprising:
the access network element sends update indication information of the system message to the UE;
the UE reads the SI or SIB needing to be updated from the system message according to the received update indication information;
the update indication information is used for indicating the SI or SIB which the UE needs to update, and indicating the UE to update the system message according to the update indication information.
14. An access network element for implementing system message update, comprising at least: the indication-sending unit is configured to indicate that the unit,
the indication sending unit is used for sending the updating indication information of the SI to the UE;
the update indication information is used for indicating information of SI or SIB that the UE needs to update, and indicating the UE to update the system message according to the update indication information.
15. The network element of claim 14, wherein the update indication information comprises:
an update indication of an SI or SIB requiring updating, and/or a primary system message value tag, and/or an update indication of SIB1, and/or a value tag of an SI or SIB requiring updating;
the update indication includes that the SI or SIB is to be or has been updated.
16. The access network element according to claim 14 or 15, wherein the indication sending unit is specifically configured to send the update indication information to the UE through a paging message, an RRC message, a MAC control element, or a PDCCH.
17. A user equipment for implementing system message update, comprising: a receiving unit and a reading unit; wherein,
the receiving unit is used for receiving the updating indication information from the access network element;
the reading unit is used for reading the SI or SIB needing to be updated from the system message according to the received update indication information;
the system message is from an access network element.
18. The UE of claim 17, further comprising a covering unit configured to
When the updating indication information comprises a main system message value tag, covering the main system message value tag contained in the updating indication information with a locally stored main system message value tag; and/or the presence of a gas in the gas,
and when the update indication information comprises the value tag of the SI or SIB needing to be updated, covering the value tag of the SI or SIB needing to be updated contained in the update indication information with the locally stored value tag of the corresponding SI or SIB.
19. A system for implementing system message updates, comprising: an access network element and user equipment; wherein,
the access network element comprises: the indication-sending unit is configured to indicate that the unit,
an indication transmitting unit, configured to transmit update indication information of the SI to the UE;
the user equipment comprises a receiving unit and a reading unit; wherein,
the receiving unit is used for receiving the updating indication information from the access network element;
the reading unit is used for reading the SI or SIB needing to be updated from the system message according to the received update indication information.
20. A computer storage medium having stored thereon computer-executable instructions for performing the method of any one of claims 10-12.
