Abstract
a presente invenção refere-se a um sistema de sensor de material eletroativo (de preferência, um polímero eletroativo), que compreende um sensor de material eletroativo (22) e um sistema de controle (28) para efetuar medições relacionadas à impedância do sensor de material eletroativo em ao menos uma primeira e uma segunda frequências diferentes. a partir dessas medições, uma temperatura no sensor e uma pressão ou força externa aplicada ao sensor podem ser determinadas. o sensor pode, dessa forma, ser utilizado como um sensor de pressão e como um sensor de temperatura. quando usado em combinação com atuação, um atuador de material eletroativo com uma funcionalidade de detecção de temperatura integrada é capaz de medir a temperatura na posição exata do atuador, que é sempre mais próxima do que um termopar externo.
