Description
COMPLETE SPECIFICATION PATENT SPREADER-MIXER-GROUPER FILLER COMBINATION The following statement is a full description of this Invention, including the best method of performing it Known to me: 1. For many years, granulated fertilizers, pasture seed mixes for sowing crops and mixing of feeds to sustain growth rates and feed requirements across the board to sheep and cattle in times of drought and unsurities in the agricultural sector, have needed 4 machines to enable the farmer to put these practises into effect. The price to which has been extreme, and in many cases, costs the consumer in excess of $40,000. This machine is cost effective and extremely versatile making it a very attractive option. This invention has had considerable thought into how it has been devised in order to provide an improved system whereby halting the need for 4 machines and only needing 1 compact, easily manoeuvred, trail along agricultural bin spreader. The concept is simple, cheap, effective and readily accessible by the farmer. Contents are easily mixed within the bin thereby protecting the expensive contents from unintentional and undesired wasteful escape of said contents. The Invention has been designed with 2 bins thus eliminating the need for 2 machines in the process of sowing a crop i.e.; granulated fertilizer in one side and seed mix of the consumers choice in the other. The flow control is adjustable from the cabin of the Tractor for any rate of application and can be easily adjusted without stopping, thus saving much needed time. The same applies for the feed combination for sheep and cattle feeding, one being for sheep, one for cattle or a mixture of the two.
2. A Spreader - Mixer-Grouper-Filler Combination, in accordance with this invention, comprises of 2 top loading bins, 2 spinners in the base of the machine and 2 augers, two short extensions, with flexible down tube flowing down to the spinner, two medium extensions for bin filling, one long extension for grouping, adjustable for ease of either feeding out of filling the grouper into the seeder directly. The Tractors hydraulic system drives both the spinners and the augers and a petrol motor mounted on the system ensures the reliability of the grouper and bin filler with its own driven motor. The angle at which the sides have been designed, and the unique shape of the bin allows for ease of movement of any mix through to the spinners at the base, and apon revolution of the spinners, or alternatively the augers, contents are delivered precisely and efficiently for said designed purpose. The manner in which the spinners at the bottom are machined, with a cup like cavitity, reduces the risk of excessive waste when spreading fertilizer and likewise, when filling augers from said machine. The Spreader-Mixer-Grouper-Filler Combination is made of sheet metal, likewise the spinners are specially machined from sheet metal with sections welded to them for ease of spreading. The augers, motor drive chains etc are readily available to buy and fit.
3. The invention may be better understood with reference to the illustrations of embodiments of the invention which: Figure 5 is the overhead elevation 10. of the whole machine. Figure 1 is an elevation of the Spreader-Mixer-Grouper-Filler Combination showing one of two augers 6. Without any extensions Fig.6. No 12 shows all different extensions for augers 13. Shows the auger drop box. Figure 2 shows a rear view of the spreader with two spinners 7. Used for distributing fertilizer, seed mixes 15. Is the axle and wheel assembly 8. Is the end view of augers through the drop box and 9. is the horizontal view into the slides and measuring workings of the locking system 14. Shows the metering adjustment levers. The machine shown in Figure 2 which is cone shaped with two openings 10. Has sloped walls which form an unobtrusive slide for materials to be expelled, and 11. Is the divider for the two halves of the machine having metering devices in the bottom to adjust accordingly. These doors are designed to be manually opened and shut, thus eliminating unforseen expulsion of materials.
Claims (2)
- 4. The claims defining the invention are as follows: 1. A Spreader-Mixer-Grouper-Filler Combination having two chambers for mixed or unmixed agri use. 2. A Spreader-Mixer-Grouper-Filler Combination as claimed in claim 1, can be used as a fertilizer and seed combination machine. 3. A Spreader-Mixer-Grouper-Filler Combination as claimed in 1 and 2 also being a valuable asset in mixing fodder and grain for distribution of feed in times of drought and hardships. 4. A Spreader-Mixer-Grouper-Filler Combination as claimed in 1-3 wherein the container and spinners are made from sheet metal, all extras can be purchased.
- 5. A Spreader-Mixer-Grouper-Filler Combination can substantially as herein before described with reference to figures 1-4 of the accompanying drawings. Roger Hogan 30 September2008
